As many of you have read It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover , we were inspired to make a thread that plays off of one of the charecters need to write letters to Ellen instead of in a diary. So that's what we will do! Here, in letter form to Ellen, you can write all your thoughts on the happenings in your life and especially current books......enjoy!!

Erika | 9482 comments Dear Ellen,
I am reading this book ,and while I really like it I'm really mad at the female main character. I feel bad that I kinda hate her right now, I mean she's dying of cancer...should I have sympathy? Ellen, does this make me a bad person?

Love,
Erika

Dear Ellen,

I have always volunteered for my son's soccer team/club. I'm on the board, treasurer for the club and I am the Head Field Marshal running our annual tournament. The tournament is in a couple of weeks and I have so much work getting every thing together...Arrghhh This is seriously getting in the way of my reading time!!! And the worse part is that my son isn't on a team in the club anymore. At U17 it is too hard to keep a boys tournament team going. They are playing high school sports, school work and some have jobs. Now I'm irritated as I work on the tournament when I really just want to read!!! I keep saying it this is my last tournament!!!!

Love,
Christine

Erika | 9482 comments Dear Ellen,
I am reading this book and it has me crying and I don't know why. I mean its touching but nothing like the emotional books I read. So I'm mad that I'm crying and when I get sad I think about my mom. I'm going to finish this book and hopefully stop being sad.
Love,
Erika

I feel like I want to pull my hair out....but the truth is even if my husband tries to help I can't let go of the control....I have to know whats on the afenda for the next couple of weeks or it drives me bananas.....needless to say reading is not being done!

Love,
Barbara

Dear Ellen,

I've been reading The Summer Remains (The Summer Remains, #1) by Seth King for 3 weeks, SLOWLY!! I just don't like it and I've come to the conclusion that it's this books fault Bright Side (Bright Side, #1) by Kim Holden . One of the BEST ugly cry books and the character Kate is an all time favorite female character. I keep comparing Summer to Kate and they are completely different characters and it's not fair of me, but I couldn't connect with Summer. How dare you Kim Holden for ruining other Ugly Cry books for me! hahaha

Erika | 9482 comments Dear Ellen,
Today has been the worse day ever. My friend died three years ago, she was only 42 and her husband never really recovered, he died yesterday. He was only 46. It's just so sad, I never thought I'd actually know someone who died of a broken heart..but he did. This family has endured so much, his wife's sister died over the winter, and now him. I just want to grab my family and put us all in a bubble. So much sadness.
Thanks for listening Ellen.

Dear Ellen,
I feel like every time I write you it's sad. My brother is getting married this weekend and our mom died six years ago. So I am stepping in and dancing with him etc. So while I am so happy for him, I've been crying a lot. It's bittersweet. So Ellen...I'm off to marry my baby brother away.

Erika | 9482 comments Dear Ellen,
I LOVE to read. I know that not all books have happy endings, and I'm okay with that. But recently I've read two books that a couple finally gets together after years of being separated, and one of them dies. My heart just can't take it. I'm off to read a happy ending...I hope.

Eek, I hate when that happens!! Like you said sometimes it's okay, but 2 in a row, my heart definitely wouldn't be okay. Good luck!

Dear Ellen,

I'm reading an older series of my favorite feel good, warm and wuzzy M/M Romance author N.R. Walker. All of her books are very character driven and chalked full of feels. I love them. Now I'm on book two of a series, the first book had some intense moments, but still had all the usual feels. But now book two....OMG the angst, the lies, so intense I've wanted throw my kindle across the room a couple of time. I feel like the author has tricked me into reading this book, yet I still can't seem to put it down!!

Erika | 9482 comments Dear Ellen,
How sad is my life. I had a dream last night. I was reading a book and in the book the author referenced another book...I'm not sure who's book, but I feel in my bones it was one of three... Amy Harmon or Tarryn Fisher or Colleen Hoover . Okay, so as I was reading the book, guess what I couldn't wait to do? Go to my friends at goodreads in my group and tell them. So, I'm not dreaming of far off places, or handsome princes...no I'm dreaming of authors, books and book groups. What's even worse, I thought at first it was a memory and than I realized...nope it was a dream.

Dear Ellen,

I'm sort of surprised to realize how much I love a simple, angst free, character driven romance. I use to thrive on books that give you a book hangover and occupy your mind for days. The emotional ones that hit hard. I still love those books, don't get me wrong but a simple feel good story isn't boring. They warm my heart every time....

I am a little stressed out. School has me crazy, and I am not reading like I want or even able to do much on Goodreads. I miss my book friends...I am going on vacation for spring break, but what I'm really doing is visiting my husbands family. It will be by the beach, so it won't be too horrible. Help!!!!! I need to be excited about this trip and find something that will make spring break a little bit for me.
Love,

Awwww, Erika you are not selfish at all. It impresses me that you are back in school, that is a lot of pressure and hard work. I don't blame you for wanting needing a spring break for you!! Well you need to just focus on the getting away part of your vacation. You'll be near the beach, so get some quality time relaxing and reading on the beach!
