When we were writing The Bestseller Code, one thing our data kept showing us was just how often novels with writing as a topic, publishing as a setting, books as an important part of the plot, or main characters who are authors seem to hit the lists. Perhaps the trend is about the book world reflecting on itself. Why do you think these themes are so popular?
