The Reader's Nook of Oklahoma discussion

I finally finished Surviving Raine after two LONG weeks and have moved on to In This Moment. Looking forward to new surroundings, characters and insights.

I am currently reading "The Fiery Cross", which is taking forever! It's an extremely long book, so I'm reading it in between other books. Over the weekend I read "The Queen of Minor Disasters". I really enjoyed it, much more then I thought I would. Now I am rereading a favorite of mine called "Summer Sisters". It's one of the few adult novels by Judy Blume. I've read it 3 or 4 times since I was a teenager.

Is the Fiery Cross part of the Outlander series? I'm afraid to dip into it now...I don't want to be chained to one series forever! Can I read the first book and move on or does it leave the reader guessing what's next?

I am also on a mission to Soundtrack Books, kind of like movie soundtracks. There is a website called booktracks.com that soundtrack an entire book...unfortunately I couldn't find anything I wanted to read! So my first two soundtracks are for In This Moment and Garden Spells.

You have any tunes that apply to books you have read in the past?

Yes, it is part of the Outlander series. Just to put it in perspective, it's 1,456 pages. And I guess you could read Outlander on its own, but if you do, I'm sure you'd want to find out what happens to the characters in the future. In the first book the main characters are in their early 20's, and in the book I'm on now, they're in their late 40's. And I never heard of soundtrack books until I just looked it up lol. It looks interesting!

I am currently reading the "wrecked" series. What can I say like to read about sex haha

I liked them. Sad there's only two books tho
