SYNOPSIS
It’s the ultimate political scandal-a clandestine, three-way sexual romp, is exposed. For US Senator, Bart Langley, his marriage is now on the brink of destruction. As pressures mount, he re-signs his powerful Senate seat and appoints his friend, lawyer David Sherwood, a gentle spirit with an iron will.
David has previously faced challenges. Early in his career he encountered religious prejudices because he was a Jew, when he was dealt a fatal blow causing him to lose the lady love of his life. But now life is to get even more complicated. Two enemies stand in the way of his Senate appointment. Mason Grewe, a former lawyer, who now heads up a mob-inspired international money-laundering scheme, is fueled by revenge towards David, who previously had uncovered that Grewe was screwing a client and had him disbarred. The other is Barney Stone, a power-billionaire, who fears that David will dethrone his position of power and stature and finds he can’t bend David to his will.
When the FBI steps in and rips open Grewe’s criminal operation, events move quickly. The mob finds out that Grewe plans to squeal and resorts to the final solution¬-an assisted suicide murder. For Stone, David has an ace up his sleeve to shatter the man’s arrogance. He now faces his toughest challenge ever!

It is set against the tumultuous backdrop of the 1960s political scene, when discrimination was eliminated by law, minorities emerged, and women began to assert their rights.
Jerry Sonenblick is a lawyer, now retired, having engaged in large scale commercial transactions for many years, observing at times, the steamrolling activities of greed-driven, powerful forces, and the murderous actions of organized crime.
During his career he also served in leadership capacities in statewide and national political campaigns and is familiar with the workings of government and its abuses by certain politicians, where conspiracy was an accepted norm.
