The book I decided to read during this summer is called Tangerine by Edward Bloor. I got into this book because my friend Mateo Espitia read this book last year and he told me how interesting this book was, also Im a big fan of history, it doesn't matter if it's fictional or factual history. I felt the necessity of reading this book after I finished reading Crusader that describes the story of Roberta Ritter. This book takes place in Tangerine, Florida and in Texas. This book consists in a before story and then an after story. The book is about a young boy who is called Paul Fischer whose is legally blind and his brother Erik. At the beginning of the book, the Fishers decide to move from Houston to Tangerine. Paul`s older brother loves to play soccer and he wants a soccer scholarship for playing it, therefore, Paul's interest on soccer grow. The truth about his blindness is because of his brother putting paint on his eyes, but their parents credit a solar eclipse for his visual injury. As soon they unpack, Paul decides to go for a tour in his new school, one day in a soccer practice Mike Costello gets hit by a lighting but nothing happens to him. When school began, Paul meets his coach and tries to join the team what he is told is that he can not join because of his visual issue. Later, a field of classroom falls, Joey and Paul go to help those that were trapped, but nobody gets injured. The school gives the students to options, either staying in the school with different schedules or moving to Tangerine middle school. When he gets transferred to his new school, Tangerine Middle School, he join the soccer team. Tino and Victor, teammates of Paul, don`t like him, but when they win against Palmetto Whippoorwills Victor start to like Paul. When the houses at Paul's neighborhood get fumigated, Erik and Arthur robbed the majority of the houses. Tino makes an unnecessary comment of how Eriks fells down and Eriks slapped him. Luis went to the soccer practice to face Erik with what he did and he gets hitten by a "Blackjack" also called a club. Later Luis is found dead due to an aneurysm. When the senior night was happening, Tino and Victor attack Arthur and Erik in exchange of killing Luis. The coach tries to retain Tino but he gets distracted by Paul. Erik think that Paul had exposed him for painting a wall with spray. Victor helds Paul eyelids open while his brother puts paint in his eyes. At the end Arthur is arrested for killing Luis and Erik got into house arrest. Paul is expelled from school because of avoiding the coach and he is transferred to a catholic school.

I would recommend this book to someone who likes reading fictional history and drama. I recommend this book to Phillip Grill due to his huge interest in history and because I know he has a really good taste in choosing books. Phillip is going to like all the thrill that this book contains. I hope he reads it and likes it.
