Anansi Boys takes place in the same universe and I enjoyed it. It's got a much different vibe to it, being more comedic and fast paced.

If you haven't read Neverwhere, you should definitely check that one out! It's pretty fantastic, too.

I was really surprised by this book. I really had no familiarity with Neil Gaiman or his novels. Except for seeing the movie Coraline. I really enjoyed the premise of this book and the mythology. I really enjoyed the history and short stories in between chapters that gave more clues as to how the Gods made it to America. I really enjoyed Mr. Wednesday and his whole deal. I thought Shadow was written perfectly to demonstrate how he is basically just a guy, who isn't "alive". I enjoyed the touristy landmarks that had all the hidden meanings and power. The interaction between Shadow and Laura was maybe the most stand out parts of the books regarding feelings and dialogue. I'm glad he tied up all the loose ends and decided not to make this like a 3 book series, although he could easily continue the story if he wanted.
Is it weird that I imagined everything as a stop motion movie (ie: Coraline)? haha
What else would you guys recommend by Gaiman?
