Ian | 3 comments As I work on my book and speak with other writers. The challenge is not so much as publishing a book, but making people aware of its existence.
I personally have decided to take on the challenge of book marketing BEFORE I publish.
Has anyone taking on this challenge? What advice do you have? Any horror stories? Cautionary tales?

Joy Smith | 1 comments Hi Ian, I'm not very good at checking Goodreads for messages, so please forgive my delayed response. The best way to market your book before publication is to build a platform through blogging on a subject relating to the book(s). You might also set up a newsletter through Mail Chimp or Vertcal Response, and of course you should have a website. Take advantage of the social networks. A month or so before publication, beging building a buzz about your forthcoming book. Good luck!
