Hi all! I finally finished this months read... It was certainly a different one! what did everyone think?

Thanks for reading this book! I guess the reason I wanted to discuss it was because I personally saw so much hype for this book. There was so much advertising on this book that when I did come out, I raced to get and then felt so many mixed emotions about the plot.

I thought some of the description was so thick and sensual that I felt the kind of grit and sweatiness that the girls were living in. I was generally uncomfortable the entire time reading it, because I genuinely felt how conflicted the main character must have been. The sexual experiences just made my heart break in understanding the causality of the 70s and how often young girls were and still are taken advantage of.

Wooooosh. This book ! Gahhhhhh!

Really sorry - time just got away with me (I got sent some books to review which I can't wait to share with everyone!) so I'll rejoin you for September's book and hope to finish this one before the end of the year.

Sorry, I know that's really rubbish as I suggested it. I do really want to read it as well! And now I'll get out of here before I see any spoilers ;)
