8-18-16 News: There has been an update to what we will be doing with our book discussions! The message was sent yesterday, but if you haven't seen it be sure to check it out at some point.
8-21-16 News: A new folder had been added titled "Rough Draft Review". Check it out!
8-22-16 News: Member count is at 23! A few more and our first contest will be held.

8-27-16 News: Our first weekly contest will be announced on Monday afternoon! Let's get as many participants as we can. When we get to 50 members, we will have one big contest as well, so remember to keep inviting your friends :)
8-31-16 News: There has been a slight change of plans for the first contest- the contest will be announced this coming Monday because I'm a forgetful scatterbrain that forgot about it this Monday! Sorry!

There comes a time when a mayor has to step down and let someone new take their place. Unfortunately, I am doing that today.
When I signed up for goodreads, it brought me a lot of joy, but that sparkle I had in the beginning is no longer with me. I am finding myself being tied up with other things and my life will no longer have the ability to stay with goodreads.
I will still stick with writing and I hope you all will too. Everyone here has been so kind and friendly and active, so I deeply apologize to you for leaving. I understand if you are angry.
I now will leave this group to the moderators and the citizens. Elect a new mayor, build up the infrastructure, and most importantly- never stop writing.

Unfortunately, as Pie did, I've lost the magic, motivation, to go onto Goodreads everyday and monitor this amazing group.
Writingtowne was so incredibly active before, bustling with different townsfolk, all so eager to write and share together. There was Need for a mayor before, and now their is nobody to help.
Now people are moving out, and ignoring each other. The once sunshine-filled days are now gloomy and cloud-filled. What has happened? Has everybody lost their sparkle? What is holding this group together?
We have to bring it back, everyone! Which is why, starting September 30th, you will be required to be generally active, or be kicked.
Of course, you may email or message the MODs if you have a serious reason you cannot come on, but understand that, without its people, a town isn't a town anymore.

I'm leaving...I don't have any motivation to keep coming on goodreads anymore. Writingtowne was amazing before. You can bring it back. I ask you to revive it.
I don't know what to say...but all of you have been so kind and nice to me since I've arrived and since I've become a MOD. Thank you everybody :) But everyone has a time to go. I'm sorry for leaving.
