Book Lair discussion

Hello there!

Has anyone read/started reading this yet?

I am about halfway through now and I have to say I am enjoying it much more than when I first began. I am having trouble connecting to the character as I find him just too perfect. At the same time, he is quite dense. I immediately figured out what was happening and he only got it at 42% of the book...

Thoughts?

Darn short time memory...

I want to read this, but haven't bought it yet. I really liked the entire premise of Pines until the end when we really find out what's happening so I am a bit leary of that!

I hate when an author has an excellent idea and then doesn't do it justice.

I hear ya! I did feel that with this book but I still believe it is worth a read.

The premise on Pines sounds so good that I can definitely see myself getting disappointed at the development :)

I can't count the number of times I've read a book and then wished a different author had written it!

Ah I had never really thought of it that way because I feel no author is perfect but yeah I guess it makes sense.
