Read books for each task listed. Some (but not all) tasks will have opportunities to collect bonus points.

You can read one book for every task or read multiple books for some tasks. (For example - you could choose to just focus on task 5 and read books with orange / brown covers. That's fine - you can claim points for each one that fits).

Each book may only be used for one task. (For example, you might read a book that is set in October, where somebody dresses up for Halloween - you can count this book for task 2 OR 11 but not both)

The aim of the game is to score as many points as possible by the end of the quarter.

Scoring: Score 1 point for each book read that fits a task plus 2 points for each bonus task.

EXAMPLE:

TASK: Read a book set in USA (Bonus: Set in New England)
You read a book set in California = 1 point for USA : Total 1 point

You read a book set in Massachusetts = 1 point for USA + 2 points for New England : Total 3 points

Please keep a record of your points at the top of your post so we can award you your 'Hall of Fame' badge!

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 617 comments Caroline, did I get it correct, no books allowed that we started to read before September?

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

That's right Agnieszka. Only books started and finished between 1st Sept and 30th Nov count towards this challenge. I'm terribly strict you know! :)

message 15: by Agnieszka (last edited Aug 31, 2016 12:53PM) (new)

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 617 comments Too bad, now I have to decide if I'll re-read the 20 percent of Amber Room I read ages ago or if I exchange the book :-) We'll see.

Thank you anyway for your answer :-)

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

I guess if it's only 20% I'll allow it. I was thinking more of people reading loads of different books and then saving the last page to read on the first so that it counts towards a challenge! So we'll say as long as the majority of the book was read within the time frame you can use it. How's that? :)

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 2733 comments The Lost Challenges
*NEW* Reading The Seasons
Duration:
Sept 1st 2016 - Nov 30th 2016

Progress: 21 out of 21

Please keep a record of your points at the top of your post. There's no prizes but the highest scorer will get a shout out at the end of the challenge :)

*Books must be started and finished within this time frame*

*Any genre / format is fine. Re-reads are allowed. No page minimum*

Reserve your spot but no reading till the 1st!

1-10 points - Super Seasonal
11-20 points - Amazing Autumn
21+ points - Fantastic Fall

Deanne Patterson (cnnamongirlaolcom) | 50 comments October points 17

Please keep a record of your points at the top of your post. There's no prizes but the highest scorer will get a shout out at the end of the challenge :)
