Sorry, I'm a bit late to the party. But I'm looking forward to making Chinese dumplings on Saturday! I made steam buns a few weeks ago and that was really successful. Anybody else like Chinese food? With Rose Chen's recipes, it's really easy.

Man, you're making me hungry. Even though it's 11 o'clock here. ; )
Speaking of Saturday, Emily and I will be going to a auction for our summer reading program. I'm super excited and I'm sure Emily is also excited also. I could just see her eyes widening as she saw that one of prizes was The Hunger Games box set. So if you guys don't hear from either one of us, the auction is the reason. I hope you all have a fantastic Saturday! ; )

I'm so excited about the teen summer reading auction this year!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes I was drooling when I saw the hunger games box set :D
I thought hat you might. Trust me, I was about to do the same thing when I saw the Lord of the Rings box set and The Hobbit collection. I hope that we can get good seats.

I'm not really a good dancer, but that won't stop me from secretly doing it in my bedroom or when my favorite song comes on.
Right now I'm on my high school's varsity volleyball team. It's a really fun sport and while this is my only second year, I'd like to think I'm a natural. But I still have a lot to learn :)

I think everyone does secretly dance when no one's watching :D
That's awesome that you play Volleyball!! I've kinda always wanted to play a sport other than just backyard sports with my Brothers :)
What is this teen summer reading auction thing?!?!!? It sounds amazing!!!
I love to dance! I'm not any good at it, but that does NOT stop me from boogieing in my room when no one is watching. Or in my car...or the shower...am I the only one that makes up random dance routines to specific songs and then every time the song comes on it's like I'm in a music video...grab the nearest hairbrush!!! On a more serious note, I've done a little ballet and tap and absolutely love it. I wish I'd gotten more into it, but I think I'm a little too old to pursue it now.

Haha no, Coralie, you're not the only one randomly does dances...just sure you don't have an annoying borther to catch you doing it...

You are definitely not the only who dances crazy when no one is watching :) I did ballet, for 6 years, and also want to start up again.

Huh, I have three...and a sister, so...yeah. I'm the oldest. Cool thing is, the ages between us are in such a way that the little two would jump right in with me, and the other one would probably just smile and walk on by. My sister used to join me, but now she's all sophisticated and in high school. :-P

Right you are! But at my age, not many classes are offered and not many instructors are willing to take new students. I think I'm just on the cusp of being too old to pursue it as a profession, but that's not what I want. I enjoy dancing for pleasure and I am utterly amazed by watching professional dancers, but that's not my ultimate passion: writing is! :) And teaching.

Hey Fiorella! welcome to the group, cant wait to see some of your work, if you decide to share it :)
Welcome, Fiorella! What a unique name you have! Check out our short story contest in the writing prompt folder!
Where is the thread that had the lists of books for the to-read challenge? I can't seem to find it.
I can't see it on either.
In your search box, underneath where it says Members, Poll, Settings, and that stuff, type in To-Read Challenge. You should find some comments where it talks about the To-Read Challenge.
Hope this helps!

I think what happen was that if a member doesn't comment in about a month or so, then the topic disappears. It's so odd!
Ah, well, that is weird. I've been so busy with school work that I haven't had time to read anything hardly. I just finished the book I was working on and now I'm gonna see how many I can plug through before the deadline. I just wanted to double check to see which ones I put on for the challenge!
Hah, I meant that I just finished the one I was reading, but I am working on writing one too. XD
Not too bad. Just still trying to figure it out and putting the pieces together. What about you?
I think I'm about to post it. I've read and reread and I think I'm finally satisfied. It's a little long, so I think it may take a few comments to post, but I'm excited to see what others think. We ought to create a thread for feedback after the poll.
Yeah. That way it doesn't get too mixed up and people don't have to scroll down a while to read the stories.

I just read it and . . . it was so much fun to read! The plot and the twist at the end? That was brilliant! The whole story overall is amazing. I didn't pick up anything that needed to be worked on but if you think there is some, you go ahead and do that. Excellent job!

Wow! Thank you so much! It's wonderful to hear feedback about it. I'm actually hoping to expand the story into a full-length story...eventually, because there is more to tell! I had the hardest time figuring out a title, though. I can't wait to read yours!!!

I've read something similar before. I've always loved this. Very good advice and just encouraging in general, I think.
