description

This is a mid-month reading challenge.
This challenge requires you to read one book AFTER you see an image.

I will post the picture early on the morning of the 10th of September.
It will be behind a spoiler button.
You have the rest of the month to read that book.

The image could be a painting, a photograph, sculpture or artwork of some kind.

You will read the first book (that you can get a hold of easily) that pops into your mind when you look at the image I have selected.

No page limits. Re-reads are okay.
Duration : Sept. 10- 30, 2016

Beth Great image! It wasn't even on my TBR, but I've been inspired to read the photo book Maddie on Things by Theron Humphrey.

Read 9/11 ★★★★

I have to decide between Streetlights Like Fireworks by David Pandolfe and The Time Hunters (Time Hunters, #1) by Carl Ashmore .

message 22: by Joann (new)

Joann I don't have anything on my TBR that's as good of a fit as the couple previously mentioned, but I found one that I think will work. Is had a vehicle on the cover, similar colors and takes place in the 60s.
Flowers in the Snow (The Edenville Series, #1) by Danielle Stewart

That's a great idea I love this author.

I'll read the book that first poped into my mind as soon as I've seen the cover:
Cynic, Surfer, Saint (#1 - Scenic Route to Paradise) by Andrea Aarons by Andrea Aarons

JoAnne (joannemwct) | 2511 comments Will come up with something - have to go look at some of my covers
surfing, van, CA - hmm, lots of good choices!

NayNay I finished Rose by Any Other Name by Maureen McCarthy

It was a three star read for me, I liked the writing style it flowed well, but the character Rose was a pain in the a**. I never read this author before, but I would give her another try.

Did anyone think of Mercy Thompson when you saw the image? She drives Stefan's Mystery Machine a few times in the first book, Moon Called.

message 30: by Christina (new)

Christina (cmb1987) | 38 comments This is the first time I've tried to do this challenge and I completely forgot to come back and check the picture on the 10th. I actually did think of Mercy Thompson when I saw the bus and I'm going to try and read Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson, #7) by Patricia Briggs before the end of the month.

I went ahead and read Moon Called for this challenge. This series is so good. Patricia Briggs has created some wonderful characters to explore. I know that I anxiously await her new books, whether they are Mercy Thompson books or Charles and Anna books.

Brindi Michele (brindimichele) | 160 comments finished my book! Dorothy Must Die Stories (Dorothy Must Die, #0.1-0.3) by Danielle Paige Dorothy Must Die: Stories by Danielle Paige 9/22/16

but I'm also picking up one of my other TBR's because I was inspired by that image: Far from Fair by Elana K. Arnold
