Darkness Falls question

This is something that has been bothering me for ages... Goodreads, why don't we have the option of half star ratings? I feel that this option is essential to the accurate rating of books. Books may be being rated too low or too high as they often not quite one rating or another. I often battle with choosing the rating as I may have enjoyed a book but don't quite feel that it deserves the higher rating, yet it was too good to be rated low. What do I do? I often rate a book and mention in my rating that it's half star rating, but for anyone reading/or not our reviews, just simply looking at the books star rating is inaccurate. I strongly feel that a half star rating option needs to be introduced. Life is never all black and white, we need our shades of grey sometimes. For the sake of those books that don't deserve the lower rating or the higher rating. For the sake of fairness and accuracy. I ask you from the bottom of my heart... give us our half stars please.
