I know most of us have been in this group a long time, but we have some new members.

Let's take a minute to say hello and tell a few fun facts about yourself!

So I am, Lady Belleza (your fearless leader), also know as Bel, or Bella. I am single, live in NYC, no SO, children or pets, just an iPhone and a scary brain. I have a very warped sense of humor (some say, some say it's perfect).

Hmmm, fun facts about me? I have an English degree but had to get another degree in social work to make myself employable. I live in Michigan, what feels like a long distance from my hometown of Detroit (aka "civilization"). Most of my housemates are books and movies. I own over 600 movies and many, many more books than that.

Oh, and my real name is Eileen. Fishface is a college nickname, on account of this is my power animal:

Hello there - I'm Charlene. I work in a Library in NJ. Love it because there are SO MANY BOOKS TO READ. I started out in NY, moved to NJ when I got married, still in NJ while divorced. Have 2 children both of whom now live in different states and one married with my FIRST grandchild. Of course love to read, also crochet, quilt (haven't done much lately), cook and make a lot of cookies for work (which everyone devours). When I retire I still want a house with a big kitchen so I can bake and don't care how small the other rooms are because they are just not as important as a kitchen. What more can I say.

Hi .. I'm Tessa (or BC). I grew up in Texas, but now live in Wisconsin. Married, no kids, no pets. Voracious reader (but that's hardly news around here ... LOL). Work in healthcare administration. When I'm not reading I enjoy cooking (and eating), gardening, travel, and theater (attending, not performing).

I'm Brina. I'm from Chicago and live in Cincinnati, Ohio. Married, 4 kids. We all love to read so I still get plenty of time for books. I also love baseball, cooking, and learning languages when I get a chance.

I would also like to add I am hopelessly addicted to knitting. Especially learning new knitting techniques. If I'm not on here I'm probably knitting a hat with a stitch I JUST LEARNED!!!

How can anyone talk about fiber arts in this perishing heat???

I'm faintly alarmed at the thought that someone somewhere might believe air conditioning was invented to allow others to knit and crochet!

Detroit suburbs, about 20 miles north.

Hmm, there are a lot of suburbs 20 miles north of the Motor City. But that gives me an idea...
