Yeah(view spoiler)[ I wasn't anticipating a voodoo slant at all, which is an interesting surprise. And yeah, his ownership slant is just...creepy.
but I do like that she's remembering him and some of her childhood memories

(view spoiler)[This was better than the last book but that was because they got right into the story this time. I still think it was so unnecessary to kill off Wyatt. Like you Trisha I hate Leif. He is so untrustworthy. Sadly that's due to who and what his parents are. Luckily Dank was able to come in and save the day. (hide spoiler)]

I finished the book on the 17th I believe and went ahead and finished the series lol! I haven't has any access to a computer to have updated as I read but I I thought Predestined was alright enough to give it 3 stars but Ceaseless to me wasn't the best and ended up giving it 2 stars. I hope you enjoy it better than I did though!

oh no!! You didn't love Ceaseless! That makes me nervous because I haevn't really been giving any of these high ratings!

I wasn't expecting the (view spoiler)[voodoo twist either. Voodoo is really inculcated into people's hearts when they've practiced it. When my son went to Haiti (about 7 times now) one of the things he experienced was that even though people had converted to Christianity and were believers and read their Bibles, etc. there was something in them that still held on to certain voodoo beliefs and it's VERY hard from them to let go of it completely.
