Starting the month with White Trash: The 400-Year Untold History of Class in America for some "light reading" (ha!). I also have Harry Potter and the Cursed Child lined up for my next book, though if 'White Trash' gets to heavy I may swap books for a while.

I am in the middle of The Unseen World by Liz Moore. The story is centered around the mysterious existence of a man and the investigation into who he really is by his daughter, it has really strong character development. I find myself really caring about the characters and the outcome of the plot.
For mid-Sept, I'm reading a physical copy of The Affinities and listening to The Little Stranger in audiobook format. Waters' book is very evocative of it's locations and mood; it's difficult to turn it off & go to bed! I've just reached the main conflict in The Affinities and am curious to reach the resolution of the book.
Over the weekend I finished Home by Harlan Coben. Although I have never read any of his other books featuring Myron as a character, I enjoyed it very much. I just started The Wonder by Emma Donoghue. I am not the biggest fan of her writing style but the premise of this book sounds like something I would enjoy so I am giving it a shot.
I just read 'The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society' for my book club. Now I'm reading 'American Gods' by Neil Gaiman which I am much more excited about! :)
I have just added a new column on my Goodreads page: Books I began reading and stopped due to disinterest, etc. My first book on this list is Annie Proulx's Barkskins.I am very sad about this as I love Annie Proulx, but this 700+ tome is not a story. It's a compilation of research and facts. None of the characters are fully fleshed out. They just follow each other in a line of descendants that goes 300 years. Let me just say I read HALF THE BOOK before I gave up. I would advise others who want a plot to not be as loyal.
