Reader's Paradise discussion

Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak’s groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Nope , i am not big fan of digital books.Love the good old physical book :)

I started last night. And I totally agree with Manasa. The intro part was absolutely creative and beautiful. I had to work with my imagination at its best to capture the entrancing poetry-like-writing. I urge all of you to at least try the first chapter!!

It's okay. Even I like paperbacks better than eBooks but since I'm still a student,my desire to start my own book collection is not quite possible. So invested in a kindle and limited myself to buy few books in physical copy occasionally in Amazon or in
annual book clearance sale ;)

I hardly read 5-10% reading..in between class breaks and my sleep times!

Ann, become a book thief and steal it from somewhere. This deserves to be read... and more so in a great group!

I've started the book. The narration is a little bit unusual. Let's see.

I'm done with part 1. There's nothing much to discuss though.

Since I've not read blurb, I have no idea in which direction the book is going. Just enjoying the moment.

The narration is superb, otherwise, so far, it's just another WW story.

Ha ha! Manasa, I agree with Sundara on that. We are around 20-30%, and it's not a page-turner so far. Although, the narration, no doubt about it, is superb.

+1 with Mishty on page turner ;)
Though had slight difficulty in the beginning.

It's not that it isn't interesting-therefore-not-a-page-turner...
Just that..the plot of the story isn't exactly sucking in kind. It's more like a character driven book, so the timing of reading this book also matters. Hopefully will get into it..
