Hi, everyone! Here is a bit about me!1. Significant other? Children? Pets?
I am not married and have no children of my own, but I have a niece and nephew that I love like my own. I also have three cats, all with literary names: Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, Kittysquire, Emma Elizabeth, and Jack Brandon.
2. What do you do for a living?
I am a teacher. I have taught in public middle and secondary schools for ten years and in higher education for four. I am trying to find a full time job in a post-secondary institution.
3. What is your favorite color?
Green!
4. What destination would be your dream vacation?
Fiji
5. What is your favorite book genre?
I love young adult and mystery novels!
6. Who are three of your favorite authors?
Jane Austen (can you tell by the animal names?)

7. What's your favorite word?
Fantabulous
8. What actress/actor should play you a film in your life story?
Maggie Gyllenhaal
9. Will you tell us a funny or favorite story about yourself?
I'm pretty boring. I am really klutzy and clumsy, though. Last week, I managed to fall both UP and DOWN steps. I'm okay besides for a few bruises.
10. What are your hobbies?
Reading, writing, going to the movies, swimming, playing board games, collecting bookmarks, and sleeping. I could win an Olympic medal in sleeping.
11. Where is your favorite place to read?
My bedroom
12. What is your favorite sport to watch or play?
College football to watch--no one wants me playing on their sports team for risk of injury!
13. What was your favorite subject in school?
English and Spanish
14. How are you creative?
I make up songs and stories on the fly.
15. What is your favorite sandwich?
I like a good Reuben.
16. What do you think is your very best feature or characteristic?
I'm pretty personable. I have never met a stranger. I also smile quite a bit.
17. If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and what would it be for?
I'd throw a 1920's speakeasy/Gatsby style party, and it would be for either publishing my first novel or graduating with my Ph.D., whichever comes first.
18. If you could paint a picture of anything, what would you paint?
My Nannie and my Nannie Lawson. If I were talented enough to paint, I'd somehow visualize their smiles, their openness to love, and their dedication to their families. I miss them both terribly!
19. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
I'd like to say goodbye to my Nannie. She died very suddenly. I'd also love to meet William Shakespeare to ask if he did, in fact, do the writing for all those plays and sonnets. I'd also like to meet Bon Jovi. I love him.
20. What’s your favorite comfort food?
Pizza

1. My name is pronounced Wi-sha-na. If my last name were star, I'd be "Wyshona" star.
2. My name is Cherokee and supposedly means Maiden by the River.
3. My Nannie dreamed my name when an aunt was pregnant, but mama liked the name, so I was christened Wyshona. My middle name is Danyelle--with a "y" because it looked prettier on paper, according to my mother.
