I apologize this is so long. I needed to add other components to introduce Lenox Sasada. :)------
Silently, a young girl no older than 16 laid in her medical bed, her amber gaze fixated on the bland ceiling above her. How long had it been since she had been admitted into the hospital - she no longer had a realistic grasp on space and time. Her body was aching, it was lazy and weak, like no Ninja should ever be - especially one with a particular case like hers, it was imperative she train daily. A warm hand laid on the surface of her covered stomach, the warm pulse of her blood beneath her body reminding her she was some how still alive. It seemed like a miracle - even a curse to have survived with the danger living within her. She could barely move her body, her hand trembling with the effort to move it.
Somehow she managed to rise from the bed and crept out into the little garden provided for those admitted into the hospoital to enjoy nature while remaining in the hospital under surveillance. Lenox leaned against a wooden column, her gaze over looking the calming garden. It was relaxing while chaos ensued within her mind. Her body trembled with the effort to keep her standing. She was still very weak.
Unlike many others of her rank, Lenox did not wear a smile upon her face. Seeing as it took 62 muscles to frown, it seemed what little effort could be put into smiling, Lenox was unable to. It was though as when the beast within her revealed itself, it severed her muscle memory connection from her brain to her lips, leaving her without the memory of how to smile. She hated it, she had cried herself to sleep multiple times over the thought of never being able to fight again on behalf of her village. Yes, the kazekage Gaara had visited her, she did not respond to his presence with the hope he had expected.
The red haired jinchuuriki approached her bed. His blue eyes rested on the girl who remained awake and silent before him, nestled underneath the covers of the bed sheets. He could sense it, the lack of chakra running throughout her veins. It was startling. Among the silence of her network, Gaara reached out further, seeking the cause. He found it after a moment. It was there. It could easily be seen, the pain. The immense stress Lenox's cells were under. The trauma her body had sustained along with the trauma among other senses. It saddened him. Before he could part his lips, she closed her eyes and severed his ability to read her. Gaara remained silent and eventually closed his own eyes, and turned away, leaving his thoughts in the room. Flash Back.
Abandonded, Lenox's head band rested on the floor of the room.
Resting on a nearby tree behind Lenox, Jiraiya sat silently on it's branches as he watched the young jinchuuriki, not yet calling out to her. He simply observed from the distance, slowly coming to understand how serious her case was. He could see how grave her injuries were, and how she lacked strength, how she was so weak. This wasn't too surprising, it was no easy task controlling a power as immense as the 12 tails, and he was grateful that she'd managed to survive the blow. However, he knew he would have to convince her to begin training soon if he wished to avoid a second incident like this. He concentrated on sensing where her chakra system remained the strongest, he could start there at the very least. After getting a good grasp on what he should do, he jumped down from the tree, landing safely on the ground, before he called out to Lenox. "Oi~"
The strand of the young ninja's dark hair was ruffled by a soft breeze. "Who's there?" She found herself ask weakly, unable to turn her body the proper way to visually recognize it was only Sage Jirayia. Not many had come to visit her and she hadnt interacted with any other patients at the hospital, despite being admitted for over a year. It was painful, not physically but emotionally to be detached from the chaos that was Kohona. (( He should approach with the mention of training without introducing who he is. I dont really fancy introductions, if you understand.))
Lenox knew she couldnt even summon her companion, she didnt have the speed necessary to complete the hand signs nor the power to slap the surface of her hand onto the ground below the banister she stood by. The poor ninja was too vulnerable. She didn't like how it felt and unfortunatly her friends from the village learned that the hard way, a response as cold as snow they recieved.
"Well, no one too important." Jiraiya replied calmly, stopping just behind her, knowing it was better not to reveal too much at the moment. His voice then took on a more serious tone as he asked, "Have you begun training in any way yet?" He folded his arms and leaned against the tree, awaiting her response.
Lenox stiffened at the words mention. It sent a shiver up her spine. The fear screaming inside Lenox was too loud for her to comprehend whom it was who had spoken, Lenox had barley heard his response. "The doctors have not premitted me to return to such a dangerous enviornment." She said, her response very old and distant. It appeared as though she had only remained confinded within the walls for a short term, when in reality, she felt locked away for an entirity of a lifetime. "Anyways, " She added, "The leaf has an efficent supply of other Ninja at their disposal."
"It isn't only for the sake of Konoha, it's for your sake as well." Jiraiya spoke sternly. He pushed himself off the tree and walked to Lenox's side, placing a hand on her shoulder, "You need to learn to control the twelve tails, that'll require extensive training. You probably don't have the time to be lying down here. Lenox, what do you want?" He wasn't try to be too harsh, he wanted to show her just how urgent it was that she begin training.
"What would I like?" She asked herself, echoing the sage's curiosity. Lenox looked off in the distance, to her she could see her deceased team and sensei playing in the garden, their phantom like aurora jumping around and playing ninja games in the time they should have been training. It was just like old times. It may have only been a year but it was too long for the wound to have closed fully. No one even knew what happened completly. Except for her eyes. The report was written down as invalid because the details had been to grotesque and held confidental information the hokage feared others may seek. Lenox didn't take a moment to think. "I think, I'm not meant for this." She said plainly, no emtion within her voice. "The path of a ninja." Not only had the 12 tails broken almost all her bones, it had broken her confidence and drive to serve the nation of fire.
Jiraiya closed his eyes and smiled in relief at her response, he had been expecting it, but he'd always doubted she would respond with it. he gripped her shoulder a little tighter to assure her in herself, "That depends on how you see yourself, doesn't it? A little determination and belief can go a long way." He pulled back his hand, stretching nonchalantly, "Alright, we begin training right away." He stated suddenly.
(( XD Are you going to include them in her template? Also that's fine! ))
(( XD Are you going to include them in her template? Also that's fine! ))
The fear that had somehow ebbed away to a numbing within her finger tips shifted to a painful tenseness rising in her arms. Lenox didnt feel ready. It was almost as she could feel the twelve tails shifting around in side her, at the mention of the word. "I'm sorry but I'm afraid you'll have to look elsewhere." Lenox said finally beginning to turn around, eager to return to her room away from the questions of the pestering stranger. It angered her that he spoke like it was easy, in her condition to find hope was a struggle.
(( Yeah, he's going to convince her :D ))
"There's no one other than you." Jiraiya replied. "Your the twelve tails junchuuriki, no one else can control it. If you can learn to control it, your injuries should heal as well." He added positively. His goal was to convince her to train by just mentioning pros and what it would lead to, he didn't want to bring her past into it, as he knew it was a traumatizing incident for her, but he would if he needed to. He looked towards her, waiting for her response.

"Control?" Lenox asked turning around now, her eyes now fully on Jiraiya. "You're right. There is no one other than me." She declared but without boasting, just a simple fact. "As a Jinchurriki, am I destined to follow the path of control?" She asked rather curiously than aggressivly like most people would have in her situation. It was taking Lenox a lot to keep her emtions in check. She was also too weak to attack Jirayia in her state.
Jiraiya didn't hesitate when giving his reply, it was what he believed. "If you truly want to follow the path of a ninja, you are. A ninja is one who endures and protects. If a junchuuriki can't control their tailed beast, they run the risk of unleashing it's power and hurting others. It would lead to many tragedies and deaths. However, if you can learn to control it, it can become an asset greater than any other to you." He said the last part with a good determination, assuring her of that fact.
At the mention, Ninja Lenox whipped around, a small whimper escaping her lips but not enought to alert Jiraiya of any immediate pain. Her eyes were on him, hard and angered. "You're just like the rest of them!" She bristled, now her anger rising. "I already said I don't want to be a ninja!" She felt frustration coursing through her veins. She would have kicked what she could. "I don't want to be an asset towards death," She said something behind her words. "I don't want to be like them. There's no difference between a shinobi that kills and a jinchurriki that runs wild nor is there a difference between a shinobi that runs wild and a jinchurriki that kills!" Her headband was not even present on her forehead like it was often on other shinobi, rather it was cast aside and abandonded on the floor by her bed. Lenox turned away before the tears could form. "It should have been me!" She said softly but it was a strangled whisper. She girpped the railing tightly, the emotions flowing throughout her freely.((I think we can work the autopsy into the next post :) - this is going great so far! ))
(( sorry if this is really dramatic, if ur not into it we can skip forward to the autopsy stuff :) ))
(( It's cool.
XD))
Jiraiya looks at her strictly, replying in a low tone, "Your the one who doesn't understand. What you want is the path of a ninja. Controlling a tailed beast not only causes you to be more stable, but it greatly helps you in becoming stronger, and developing new techniques. It protects those you care for, far from your idea of killing others. " He says to her in a lecturing tone.

"Since you leave me no more options, sage ... I will grant you your request on one condition. " She held up her index finger, one. "It's been 397 days and counting since I have not recieved word on the autopsy of my team mates which I was told I would recieve once they were completed. I would like to recieve the report now. Phsical copies are not needed, the truth only. Because Sage," She said, "I will know if what you have told me is true or wether you have left out information." What the hell was Lenox doing. Something told her no matter how many years she put off training, it wouldnt be benefitting her at all.
Jiraiya sighed lightly, he wasn't entirely pleased about her request. However, if it meant she would agree to training, he saw no reason to refuse. "You want a report on your teammates deaths, huh?" He murmurs, sighing again. He turns around, his back facing her, and begins walking away, waving, "I'll give you the report." He assured her confidently.
Lenox didn't reply. Her back was turned away from his as well. All that ran through her mind was her concern over the death of her team mates one year ago. She wasn't aware that she could think of anything beyond the blood that was once theirs running along the ground.
Jiraiya quickly jumped onto the roof of the hospital, taking one last look behind his back at the girl standing in the garden, before he turned around and ran forward, disappearing out of sight within moments. He had a general idea of where he'd be able to find exact details on the case, that were most likely true as well. Seeing as it was him, it was probable they'd offer him the information. He headed towards the hokage's office seriously.
Jiraiya sat on the wooden still of the hospital window facing Lenox's room. He wore a serious and expecting expression on his face as he watched the young girl, knowing he held the information she'd wanted to know. He didn't want to tell her in all honestly, he thought it might be too much for her and have a negative impact, but he did intend to keep his side of the bargain. He clears his throat, coughing lightly to inform her of his presence.
Lenox turned to face the sage, her face expressionless. "Tell me," We're her chosen words. That was all. She could feel it the anticipation of the truth was running throughout her brain. For a moment, she could feel the warmth within her fingers. It was the first time since the incident which she could feel her body.
Jiraiya sighed, he spoke bluntly, very directly, "You remember the situation you were in, right? You and your team were ambushed by 2 jonin level missing nin. The first was a gun wielder, who used special bullets that cut through chakra, and the second was a skilled swordsman. As you already know, majority of the team was killed, with the exception of yourself. That was how the case was told anyways." He murmured the last part as if there was much more to it, but he didn't bother to go any further, continuing with the report, "An autopsy was conducted on the corpses. Your teacher, as well as teammate, Emori were both shot numerous times in quite a few areas, and afterwards it seems, decapitated. Your other teammate, Tadamak. His body was never found, but judging by the blood left behind, he was most likely injured and killed as well." He finished and leaned back, giving her time to take it in.
Lenox sat silently, reminenscing the actual event. A single tear esccaped her eye and she then looked up at Jiraiya, "A promise is a promise." She crawled out of bed. "There isnt anything left of his belongings - are there?" She asked hopeful to gain something from her deceased team mates. From Lenox's recollection, she could recall the boys never took off their head bands nor ever abandonded it like Lenox had done. Their loyalty to the path of a ninja was startling as ever and if they were alive now, Lenox knew they would be doing all that they could to get her out of bed. Wether it was bringing in Ichuiraku or some elder lady to put a smile on Lenox's face - she couldnt help but feel ashamed for sitting out of the action for so long.
HAHA OMG YOU KNOW WHAT I JUST REALIZED, whoever it is that kills jirayia is going to have two very powerful jinchurriki after them. man they just screwed themselves over XD
Jiraiya reached into his chest pocket, searching, "There was one item found there, it was left behind on the ground." From underneath his jacket, he slowly pulls out a worn out, tattered, and stained headband with the konoha symbol imprinted in the middle. He holds it out towards Lenox, "The autopsy stated its probably one of your teammates, Tadamak."
Lenox reached out, the moment her skin grazed its rusted metal, the tears she had held back poured out with no restraint. Her soft sobs reached a pitch height so high the glass on the edge of the table shattered and her body shook viciously from the effort her body gave into. The pain was so strong, she could have easily released on of the tails if she had not had all four seals holding in the twelve tails. Lenox was in so much distress she didnt realize she had grabbed onto Joriya's arm and was holding onto it as she painful cried out. An entire year she held out hope he had survived. Her team mate.
Jiraiya observes her silently as she grips his arm tightly, he could clearly see all of her pain. He reached out and gently placed a hand on top of her head, assuring her he was right there. He had been expecting such a reaction from her, the information given wasn't very considerate. So he only remained silent, deciding it was best not to interrupt her and let her release her closed up feelings.
In pain, Lenox sought a way through it. Eventually she recovered and recoiled slowly away from Jirayia, feeling shame to have shead so many tears as a shinobi in trainjng. "I promise now - I'll avenge you. With Jiriya I will harness the power of the Jinchurriki inside of me the one I am. I will bring pride to our name and recover what was stolen from us." She then put the head band on and looked to Jiriya. "Id prefer if we began now. Its been long over due since I once fully ran, I would like to return to the freedom of the control of my body." Determiniatiin sounded in Lenox's voice.
Jiraiya smiled at her last statement, jumping down from the windowsill to the ground next to her, and rising up confidently. He stretched then began walking towards the exit of her room, waving for her to follow, "Were going to the training grounds~" He called out, leaving the room and beginning to head out ahead.
Lenox followed after, but she faced difficulty in recovering the functions of her limbs. The sun was only high in the sky, it was barley past lunch. She sighed, slowly making her way to the training grounds knowing her road to the shinobi would be long and difficult as a jinchurriki.
