Well, we've made it to a list of 15 ex-cops writing crime fiction already. The list has given me a whole lot of fresh names, so hopefully it's doing the same for you. I'll give it a few more days to get the list bedded down (hoping there may be some more inclusions), and then I'll start throwing out some discussion ideas and seeking suggestions. A couple of side notes from the suggestion messages I had... A couple of author names were mentioned for their crime novels, but they were lawyers by background, and not ex-cops at all, so I'm afraid they didn't get included. And there was a German ex-cop, Josef Wilfling, mentioned. I did a bit of research and, aside from all his books being in German only, they all appear to be non-fiction, so he couldn't be included either. Anyway, I reckon 15 is great start.
