City of Heavenly Readalongs discussion

We are going to read Soundless by Richelle Mead this month! What did you know about this book before you started reading it? How is it so far?

I knew that there was some mixed reviews. People have said that it's instalove, not an developed world and a bad ending...

So far I really really like it. And where we ended?! Such a cliffhanger (HA! Did you see what I did there?). I LOVE Li. For me, he's a mix between Shang from Mulan and Sinbad from Sinbad: Legend of the seven seas. Love the world and that it's set in China (?). Super cool. Look forward to continue.

Didn't know a lot about it, just that one of my favorite authors wrote it. That of course equals very high expectations.

The start didn't really captivate me, but these last pages did, so it's all good. I'm excited to see how this will turn out.
