Tell us the books you've read in September! I'll start to populate this thread with covers. You may post them all at the end of the month or one book at a time as you go. How many books will our group read in just 30 days? In August, we read 61 books. Can we beat that even though it's a shorter month? Let's give it a go!

I finished The Autumn Throne by Elizabeth Chadwick and Open and Shut by David Rosenfelt. The Autumn Throne took a while, cause it's like 500+ pages, but it was a good end to the trilogy. Open and Shut was a good crime/courtroom story. It was the first in the series. I'm currently reading the next one, First Degree.
I just finished a re-read of City of Bones. I read it earlier this year and kept comparing it to the movie. My teenager told me the movie was a horrible adaptation. Turns out, she is correct . I am now anxious to continue the series.
I just finished The Great Gatsby in paperback & audible. I had never read it before and the previous month I finished Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald which got me interested in reading it. Currently reading (slowly):
Prince Charming Must Die
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
The Energy Bus: 10 Rules to Fuel Your Life, Work, and Team with Positive Energy
Going to add Dissolution
I've read Apprentice in Death: 43
Midnight in Death
and Big Jack so far this month. They are all by J.D. Robb
I've just finished my first book of the month and it was my favourite book of this year. Spectacles by Sue Perkins. I've recommended it to so many people who I know like Sue in the first place. Now to see if I can get another book finished!
I've also read Carry On by Rainbow Rowell and Peters Baby by Gun JacobsonThen I read The Slightly Annoying Elephant by David Walliams to some of my students. (Does that count even though it's a really short picture book? I did read it ;) )
I just finished Karolina's Twins. This was a great survival story from a Polish jew in WW2. Cant recommend this one enough!Karolina's Twins
I finished Inferno by Dan Brown as well as Messenger of Truth and An Incomplete Revenge which are both by Jacqueline Winspear.
This week I finished Hatchet by gary paulson, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, by j k rowling and Odd Thomas by dean koontz
If anybody is looking for a new release, creepy, YA horror story, I just finished The Women in the Walls by Amy Lukavics. It's releasing next Tuesday (9/27) and it was awesome.
Finished Die For Me, Fear For Me and Scream For Me: A Novel of the Night Hunter by Cynthia EdenAlso finished Demon Dentist by David Walliams
Not sure if this counts, cause it's mostly recipes, but I finished But My Family Would Never Eat Vegan!: 125 Recipes to Win Everyone Over—Picky kids will try it, hungry adults won't miss meat, and holiday traditions can live on!
I just finished Detroit: An American Autopsy Sept. 25. It was really interesting and the writing was very much my taste.

Well, I don't have TV or anything. That helps. Plus when I stitch, I play an audio book or an ebook on text-to-speech. These Star Trek books, though, are like 150 pages each and really fast to get through. I can easily do one of these books in two hours.
Oh, and I hate silence. So I'm almost always listening to something, whether it's youtube or a book.
Just this minute finished Illuminae and OH MY WOW!If you havent read this book, I highly suggest that you do - it was simply stunning. The sequal cant come quick enough.
I've finished Books 1 & 2 of the Grimm Chronicles. Prince Charming Must Die and Happily Never After. Small books but fun. (And they link to full Brothers Grimm fairytales in the footnotes, many I have not heard of but they are embedded into the main stories. It makes it interesting) Unfortunately using the app I cannot link the books properly. I have tried reading and listening to Dissolution but I haven't been able to get into it. I'm looking forward to the Green Mile though. I first read that one when it was the original serial release.
Heather wrote: "Finished The Devil's Prayer by Luke Gracias. One of my favorites this year. Loved it."That went straight onto my TBR.

COULD NOT AGREE MORE. I loved every minute of it. Super fast read and such a cool concept. Be warned though: Gemina isn't necessarily a sequel. Same universe but different characters / plot line.

I just finished The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. About damn time and just in time for the film. It was SUSPENSEFUL and I enjoyed it, even though I guessed the ending about 2/3 of the way through.
I just now finished The Mapping of Love and Death by Jacqueline Winspear. I am really loving these historical fiction books about a lady detective in the early 1900's, great series!!
My tbr pile just keeps getting bigger everytime I look at this thread ;) I finished Dying Scream and Before She Dies by Mary Burton to finish the month.
