The Bait of Satan by John Bevere and Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer were 2 of my first reads after being saved and they really helped me to understand and live my new life!
Hello Tabitha! Thank you for the suggestions. I have heard about The Bait of Satan, and heard it's a really good book. I haven't heard of the book by Joyce Meyers, I will have to look into those.
These are kind of an eclectic mix, but they are the first books to come to mind:Know Why You Believe by Paul Little - this book was originally written in the 60's, but it has been updated and re-released since then. It answers questions such as: Is there a God, is Christ God, Are the Bible Documents Reliable, Why does God allow suffering and Evil, etc.
The Power of a Praying Wife/Parent/Husband (There's one for everyone) by Stormie Omartian: I like these books because it puts you in the mindset of the importance of prayer for your relationship with God, for your loved one's relationship with God, and your relationship with each other.
A Woman After God's Own Heart by Elizabeth George: I haven't read this for a long time, but I remembered really loving it when I did. The blurb on the back of the book says "Genuine peace and joy come when women follow God in every area of their lives - and become women after His heart. With warmth and grace, Elizabeth George shares practical, scriptural insights on how you can pursue God's priorities concerning: your husband, your children, your home, your walk with the Lord, your ministry.
Hinds Feet on High Place by Hannah Hurnard - This is an allegory of the Christian walk. It is the story of Much Afraid's journey to the High Places with the Shepherd. Much Afraid's desire to leave the Valley of Fear that she has always known, and embark on a journey to become a new creation.

When I first gave my life to the Lord, I didn't know of any books I could relate to or that described the feelings that I had.
What are some good books that you had or have heard about that helped you out as a new Christian lady?
