Bianca (biancamaartje) Reading is one of the best ways to relax, escape, create or all of the above. But how do you pick the next book? I created a challenge list, to read at least 20 books in one year.
There must be more challenges? Please share your reading challenges and see what others have to say.

Cheyenne You mean the Goodreads' 2014 reading challenge yeah? I've challenged myself to read 50 book this years but I've already upped the amount a couple of times so I might increase it again.

Wauw! 50 books thats a lot! But there are other challengs, like reading something completely outside your comfortzone. Or reading in a different language. I have started a German book in January and I'm slowly working my way through it for example.

Wauw! I admire your commitment! I have 20 and that going well but I will not get to 50, or 60! Well done! Do you read several books at the same time?

Cheyenne I've read 32 out of fifty so far, and I read multiple books at once. I'm currently reading 4books, and one manga series.

Bianca (biancamaartje) Wow, I can't manage more than 2 fiction books and a few study books at the same time (those don't really count though). Have you ever read something in a different language than your own?

Bianca (biancamaartje) Oh that's great. We have a beautiful exhibition here in Leiden on the Maori. Every so often they get into one of those grand boats and sail over the canals in the city. I believe that's part of a ritual?

My goal is to one day read Les Miserable in French and the Grimm fairytales in German (although Les Mis might be a bit enthousiastic).

I've read 40 books towards my goal of 75 in the Goodreads Reading Challenge.

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) I am doing a reading challenge where I read 1 or more books a week until the end of the year and so far I've read 42 books this year. Will be 43 when I finish the mask of Jason Voorhees.

The Mask Of Jason Voorhees. I'd love to read that book, Amber. Who is the author so I can look it up and put it on my TBR shelf?

Oh, there's a great chatroom if anyone's interested:

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) Hey Aaron it's Eric Morse and he's actually giving the ebook away for free on his official website. go here to check it out. http://authorericmorse.webs.com/the-m...

I'm almost done with it so I can post my review afterwards. It's pretty interesting though I've only seen 1 FT13th film.

Thanks Amber, I'll do that.

message 13: by Amber (new)

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) No problem. The book is on the gr search so you can add it to your tbr shelf.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm going to do that now.
