This is where the tapestry of the Fat Lady is. Gryffindors must say the password in order to get in.

Kit stopped walking. It had taken her and James quite a while to get up all the stairs that led up to the seventh floor. "Well, I'll be down here, I guess," she told him.She began fiddling with her hair again, leaning against a wall. She wasn't sure how long it would take him to come back out, again.
"Yeah, I guess..." He frowned. "I wish you could come inside... It's pretty awesome. Way better than the Hufflepuff common room, I bet," he grinned.
Kit laughed. Shaking her head, she responded, "No way. I don't want to go in there. Hufflepuff's common room is obviously better. I mean, 'Hufflepuff' even sounds twelve times better than 'Gryffindor!'"
"No way! Gryffindor sounds way cooler! I mean Hufflepuff has way too many fs to sound cool! But Gryffindor? It's just made of awesome!"
"But can you do this with 'Gryffindor?' Hufflepufflehufflepufflehufflepufflehufflepuff!" Kit asked. Her smile widened. "No, you can't!"
"Psh! You think that's cool? Griffingriffingriffingriffingriffingryffindor!" He stuck his tongue out. "See? Way better than Hufflepuff!"
But Kit was determined. She was going to win this. Her next argument was undeniable. That's right. Undeniable. There was no way James would be able to counter it. Absolutely impossible. "No," she said.
"Oh, really?" Kit asked, raising an eyebrow. His comment had been both ignorant and offensive, especially to her. "You would rather be arrogant and rude, but unafraid than be kind and shy? If so, that's really your downfall, isn't it?"
"Aw, you know I'm just kidding, don't ya Kit?" He looked slightly concerned. He'd pushed too far, hadn't he... He was probably no better than the Slytherin girl, in her book.
He looked down at the ground, uncomfortable. He sighed. He'd done it again... He'd said pretty much the exact same thing as that Slytherin girl had. He felt awful.
"Well, anyway," Kit broke the silence, "Why don't you go inside? I'll wait."She shifted positions against the wall. Her braid fell over her shoulder, again, so, of course, she began messing with it.
"I... Yeah. I'll go... I'll go get my broom." He nodded, and walked over to the Fat Lady portrait. He said the password quietly, so Kit couldn't hear, and then headed into the common room.
((Alert! Alert! Somebody wants their charrie checked, in case you couldn't tell by all her spam posts...))Kit waited patiently for him to come back. What if he just decided to stay there and not come out, again? Would he do that? No, probably not. Her fingers wove through her hair, re-twisting her braid into an even more complex pattern.
((Um...yeah...I saw... Need help? XD))He ran up the stairs to his dormitory to grab his broomstick. He headed over to his trunk, and carefully pulled it out. As an afterthought, he grabbed his copy of Quidditch Through the Ages, then ran back down the stairs.
((I've been too used to you being a mod in every single group I'm in. Whoa. Sorry. XD))Kit remained where she was. She fidgeted... A lot. She didn't like standing still. The portrait of a fat lady was watching her. This place was really quiet...
((XD oh that's hilarious. I've been trying to cut down on being a mod XD))He opened the portrait hole and ran back out to Kit. He had the book tucked under his arm, and he held his broom. He grinned at her, kind of half hoping all would be forgotten and forgiven, although doubting it.
Kit smiled. "Need help carrying anything?" she asked. She didn't know exactly how heavy the broom or book was, but they looked pretty heavy. Well, to her. "Where are we going now, again?"
"Quidditch pitch. That is... If we can find it. Though with our sense of direction...we might end up in the Transfiguration courtyard. Which could work just as well, I suppose..."
Kit could practically hear the bad news he hadn't even said, yet. "That's on ground level," she stated, looking at him, "Isn't it? We're going back down those stairs."
"Yep..." He nodded. "Yay... Stairs... Again..." He wanted to bang his head on the wall. "How am I supposed to do this everyday?!?!?"
"Well, going down should be better than going up, right? Right? Can you just humor me, please?" Kit asked, grimacing.A thought occurred to her.
"I forget whether the staircase has a banister or not..."
