Yiasas! Thanks, Luke, for starting this group and for giving us this opportunity to network and share our writing!
Also, congratulations on your book, and may you write many, many more!
My name is Patty Apostolides, I was born in Greece, but have lived in the U.S. most of my life. I reside in Maryland. I have written Lipsi's Daughter, The Lion and the Nurse, and The Greek Maiden and the English Lord. They all are novels about Greeks or Greece and are written in English. The Greek Maiden and the English Lord is currently being translated into Greek. I am also working on my next Greek novel.
I am currently working on my MFA in Creative Writing, and have started a Hellenic Writers' Group in Washington D.C. area. As you can see, this is a topic dear to my heart!
Best wishes,
Patty

Hi I'm from Malaysia. Have never been to Greece or Cyprus only Turkey. But I do love 300 the movie if that counts :) I'm a journalist thinking going freelance. I have one short story "Sex and Desperate Hearts" here, perhaps inspired by Sex and The City or Desperate Housewives. Couldn't really make up my mind.http://t.co/RM1PTPff70
Thanks

Hi. I am a Smashwords author from Russia, writing in English. Each of my books is more or less historical, and my recently published ebook can be named historical humor.
Hope to visit Cyprus, some day. Thanks.
Hi my name is Anna Othitis living in the USA for the past 8 years originally from Zimbabwe, Africa where we lived all our lives. I and family are all of Greek origin and speak, write and read reek. Proud and happy to be a part of this group. In my books I write about popular destinations in the world one being our great Parthenon, Athens. I have also authored our wonderful meals - Greek recipe books. Thank you form inviting me and looking forward to getting to know you all.
Thanks for the invite to the group! My name is Terri & when I joined Goodreads earlier this year, my reading genre was pretty much the same Psych Murder thriller w/ a special interest in the Medical aspect. Who knew that by joking other groups & meeting so many ppl that I would have my mind open to different characters from all over the world?! It's funny how that works!!Anyway, glad to be here & I look forward to receiving book recommendations whenever you think of one!
Yia sas,I am Chris Christodoulou, no relation to Luke, or maybe I am :)
I was born in London in 1950, and came to live in Cyprus in 2004. I live in Larnaca.
I have been writing as a hobby for 20/25 years, but recently discovered ebooks (Amazon), and thought I would publish some of my work, after revising and refreshing it. I have 3 books on Amazon at the moment, with a 4th coming very soon. I look forward to making new friends here, and good luck to all of you.
Chris
I'm Suzi Stembridge, my 8 novels on Amazon Kindle read as one long historical saga but can be read in any order. All have a Greek thread with Samuel Carr, the Philhellene who arrived in Greece just as the Battle of Navarino in 1827 was concluding, clearing the way for Greece to declare independence from Ottoman rule. Samuel will not know that his decisions will influence his descendants creating a Greek dynasty whose actions will draw them back to Greece through to modern times. GREEK LETTERS Vol 1-3 (1827-2012) set mainly in the Peloponnese & Northern England & Wales, exciting adventures, journeys, history and family life.
CAST A HOROSCOPE, A 1960s air-hostess makes a rod for her own back, childbirth outside matrimony, conventional marriage - of sorts - and a vanishing protagonist.
THE SCORPION'S LAST TALE, a menacing tale set in Corfu, Yorkshire and Greenwich, at the time of Greek Junta in nineteen-seventies.
BRIGHT DAFFODIL YELLOW, the chief protagonist, well disguised, leaves northern Cyprus at the time of Turkish invasion, perpetually on the run in the Lake District mountains, under the surgeon's knife in London and a victim of the Moorgate tube disaster.
THE GLASS CLASS set in Yorkshire, Wales and Spetses, more conundrums: it murder or accident?
Finally - or is it the first volume of the series: GREEK LETTERS Vol 4 MUCH MORE THAN HURT? Whether read as a sequel or a prequel this reads as an exciting account of Greece up to the modern day, with a twist to the lives of the protagonists.
We have lived in Greece, and spent over twenty years promoting tourism in Greece as a tour operator.
Thank you, and I will look forward to reading some other great books about Greece. Link to GREEK LETTERS is amzn.to/14riNnO

I'm Maria, I love to read and just recently started reading mysteries, thrillers & horror. As long as the story is good, I'll enjoy reading the book.

Kalimera Goodreads! Very excited to find this group. I am a wayward Greek living in Saco, Maine, USA My first book is about growing up Greek in America but more importantly it is about the story of successive generations of my family against the backdrop of the tumultuous history of Greece during the last one hundred years.

Thanks for the invitation. I used to teach Ancient Greek and I'm Italian but write in English (with bits of other languages thrown in, why not?)
I'm a reader, but also a writer (I hate the word author...I know, it comes from Greek, but it's connotations annoy me).
Books?
