Chapter 5
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Paige either. She's very self-important and exaggerates things a lot.

I'm done! She doesn't really get better IMO, but Tessa saved this book for me.

Chapter 10
(view spoiler)[I don't wanna sound insensitive, but come on! They dated for two months over a year ago and he died in an accident she didn't witness. What the fuck is so traumatizing about that for her to have nightmares and cry about it even now? It makes zero sense.

The poor little girl thing is getting old and so is her obsession with Ryan, which also doesn't make much sense.

I'm not sure who I'm more mad at, the protagonist or the author. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 17
(view spoiler)[While I'm happy that we will no longer have to read about Paige referring to Ryan as "the love of her life", I do think that the realization or whatever came without enough set up. Anticlimactic too. (hide spoiler)]

I was seriously conficted about this one. Ended up giving it 2.5 Stars.

End of Chapter 2
(view spoiler)[Not the most engaging start, but I'm still excited to continue. Paige and her friends seem to have different personalities. Tessa is unusual, because in most YA books, the rich girl with minimal parental supervision turns out to be the B, but in this story, she actually hates gossip! And just how lucky can Paige get to be sitting near Ryan? That must have been rigged! LOL (hide spoiler)]

Absolutely, not a problem. I’ve got myself a little over-eager with BRs (always the way) so it’ll probably be tomorrow before I start this.

Hey guys! Started this a bit behind schedule but I'm here now :)

Chapters 1-5 (view spoiler)[Nothing much has happened so far, but I still like it. Paige's friends seem very different from each other but they still fit together and I love that Tessa isn't the cliché rich girl.

But the thing I'm most excited about is the QuizBowl team XD I've been part of my school's team in a sort of similar competition in my home country for the past two years, so that was an instant connection. I really hope Paige tries it out, it's super fun!

I still haven't gotten a good read on Max so I don't know how I feel about him. I also have a feeling Tessa and Ryan might end up together at some point and create some drama... I always have my suspicions based on tiny little moments XD (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 6-11 (view spoiler)[Paige's anxiety over the QuizBowl and not answering in class because she's only 99.9% sure is so me that it hurts! Seeing a fictional character going through this feel like such a call out XD

I really like Max, now that I've gotten to know him. Tessa has grown on me even more and I love her friendship with Paige.

Paige's grandma landing in the hospital hit me though. There was an audible "ouch" on my end when Paige thought something along the lines of; I'm going to apply to screen-writing school Grammy. Get better so I can tell you about it.
I'm sooo scared that her grandma's not going to get better. I'm pretty sure something like that would crush Paige because she's clearly not over Aaron yet.

Ch1. Perhaps I’m missing the point, but Paige says they were only dating two months before he died. Yet, a year on, people still expect her to be mourning him. Way to keep someone stuck in their place!

I have to agree with that. The whole Aaron thing feels way more dramatic than I would imagine it should be. Two months isn't that long...

Up to ch5. (view spoiler)[ Paige has a great group of friends, but the whole divorced parents dating each other is going to send her into some crazy place. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 12-18 (view spoiler)[Whew! I'm so glad Grammy is okay! I really love the relationship Paige has with her and how she can talk to her about anything.

And Paige has finally realized Ryan isn't right for her. Finally! He's a nice guy and all that but their relationship felt so forced at the beginning that I just couldn't get behind it. I like them as friends, but nothing more. Max is the one my heart (and Paige's) belongs to. YEEES!

On the subject of Kayleigh breaking up with Eric. I'm so glad that she saw that the way he was treating her wasn't how it should be. I love how strong the friendship between the 4 girls is and that they stand by each other. Girl power! (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[Okay... So I might have cried... Grammy's death was just too much for me! :'(

But I'm so glad that Paige managed to overcome her fear of water. Although I thought the scene at the pool with Max got way out of hand... My heart was actually racing as that situation was building up.

I also really liked how Paige connected with her sister towards the end of the book. Little siblings can be a pain in the ass, but at the end of the day, they're family.

My only issue with the ending was that I felt like the whole "did you only become friends with me to have a better shot at Ryan" issue wasn't fully talked out. I mean, sure, Paige sent the vague note and they kissed, but they never actually had the conversation. Nevertheless, I'm pretty happy with this book! (hide spoiler)]

I have the same suspicions about (view spoiler)[Tessa and Ryan. And I'm thinking that this love story but really be between Max and Paige. Just maybe. Haha. I'm still at the end of Chapter 5 so who knows. (hide spoiler)]

Ch9-14. Moving on slowly. Max is a sweet character, and I love how genuine he is.

Finished. Review on home page. I can’t be too critical of this. It’s a feel-good story. The romance is cute, but there’s more to it...and Tessa is definitely one of the best characters ever.

I think there'll be something about Kayleigh and Eric in the end since they still have not met him. Learning more about Max is awesome. It's good that there is more to him that what people think. I'm finding this book a bit slow I just want something to happen

Also didn't like how Paige only started speaking to Max because of Ryan

I enjoyed the book thoroughly. I liked how everything started with friendship and that established a trust in them. Maybe it was something typical of small towns, I'm from a small city and this kind os things happen a lot...
