This case was made even more complicated by so many secrets and lies, forcing Sebastian to go back to people he'd already interviewed for follow up. It seemed to baffle him...did it confuse you?

Yes, this was one that I enjoyed reading but left the solution to the mystery to Sebastian!

I was baffled! Hadn't a clue until it was revealed.

I misremembered who killed Damian so Ms Harris managed to fool me not just once, but twice.

Like Sebastian, I had a hard time trying to link all the cases together. I still don't understand what Foucher and the attempt on Serena had to do with everything.

Yes, there were many suspects and motives here and Sebastian had a hard time getting the truth out of people. It made for an interesting mystery.

I think Giselle and her cousin killed Foucher to divert Sebastian's attention and Giselle realized that Serena knew she had smothered her infant son (indicative of her instability and fanatical devotion to the Bourbons).

Someone asked Harris on her blog about that (who killed Foucher) but I forgot what she said. There go my brain cells again, lol. I do remember though that she apologized for not making it more clear.
