Miss Marina!
*fist bumps*
Glad to hear you're looking into book blogs! I adore bloggers something fierce!! My suggestion would be to visit their sites and read their individual policies (each is different). I believe most giveaways are done via Amazon but it just depends on the blogger. Some might make an exception. Won't know till you check, eh?
If you did your own giveaway, you could gift whatever you choose, of course! ^_~
Hugs,
Ann

Definitely agree with Mistress Ann! Check out specific blogs to see how they run things and what their specific requirements are, I know some also offer paperback giveaways if your books are in physical print. I know this is kind of an expensive option given postage but I super love to send paperbacks anyway cos I can sign them, and it just kinda feels more personal! And definitely get looking into blogs for reviews and opportunities for guys posts, interviews and lots of other awesome stuff! (✿◠‿◠)

Anyway, since I'm a complete PR newbie, I've been looking into book blogs. Some of them mention they'd be open to host giveaways. Great! Now my question is, do these giveaways mean using the Amazon's Gift-system, or does it suffice with sending a .mobi/.epub to the winner?
Hope I don't sound like a cheapskate, I'm just curious of how the system is supposed to work :)
(I even had to google "book blitz"... I'm *such* a newbie.)
