I'm wanting to start reading some Hiaasen, but - so many to choose from! Any suggestions on what would be the best book to start with? Thanks!

H, I've only read Nature Girl and his kids book. Enjoyed NG, and I'd appreciate other title recommendations too!
I generally like all his books. For those of you who have are a little sweet on YA novels, try Hoot. It's better than the movie and is perfect to share with kids.
Thanks, Joanie! I saw in yesterday's NY Times book review section a review of his latest book, Razor Girl - sounds like a lot of fun.
I've also read Stormy Weather and Skinny Dip, and both were enjoyable. Just fun, quick reads that keep you interested while also not needing a lot of concentration (so they can be read while in front of the TV, etc). I have Bad Monkey but haven't read it yet. I'll probably read that one before the year is up.
Tourist Season or Striptease would likely be my picks. Lots of laughing in both! Hiassen is an author I can read maybe once a year or less -- I think he is funny, and then it gets just a hair too relentlessly silly and I tire of it. But if I don't overdo my intake I love him.
Thanks so much, everyone! I'm reading a wonderful, "meaty" book right now (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...) and wanted something lighter to read a bit down the road. Sounds like Hiaasen will fit the bill. Thanks again for the input!
I absolutely loved Ghettoside! The reporting is.brilliant and it really sheds light on some fundamental issues. It also breajs your heart. Escapist it is not?
