The Sword and Laser discussion

Greetings all! I'm curious to see if there are others in the Macon Georgia area who follow this group and would be interested in a physical book club meet-up to hang out, get to know one another, and (obviously) discuss the books from each month. My wife and I enjoy both sci-fi and fantasy but feel like we're in a bit of a nerd desert here in Middle, Ga. - we don't know if it's just because there really aren't that many of us here or we're all too isolated to realize we're not alone.

If you're out there, and can hear our distress call, please respond!

Thanks Leah! I appreciate the sympathy! Surprisingly, it looks like we might be able to actually get a group together down here thanks to some newer friends we've made over the last few months.

I was a member of the group in DMV [DC, Maryland, Virginia] and moved for work to the Atlanta area. Is anyone from Sword & Laser, in the Atlanta or north GA area that would like to meet face-to-face? Or know of a similar group I can connect with?

I moved to Atlanta a couple of years ago and would love to be part of a Sword & Laser meetup too! Anyone else out there? Let's get it going!

I'm in Athens and would be interested in a local S&L. Not sure I'd want to drive all the way to ATL, but maybe? If y'all (or we all) do start something, I suppose we should start a thread with a more accurate-to-location name.

I'm a little ways east of I-285 on I-20, so a meetup in Atlanta wouldn't be much hassle for me, depending on where in Atlanta.
