Personally I prefer Physical books as I like to hold my book in my hands. I also prefer turning pages rather than sliding my finger, I also love the smell of a brand new book, don't ask me why as I don't know I just like the smell of a fresh brand new book.

Physical Books because its really just much better than E-books, also its a bit easier on the eyes than E-books.

Pauline Fireheart (paulinesbookshelves) Physical books all the way and harcovers whenever I can!

Yeah same! I love the satisfaction and small sadness from closing a book. But ebooks are sooo much easier to carry to and fro.

Lilibeth (oceanportals) | 10 comments If I know I'm going to enjoy a new book or I think the cover is beautiful I'll buy the physical copy. I'm very fond of well made paperbacks for some reason, the floppyness feels amazing lol. But otherwise I'll get the e-book because it's more convenient and cheap.

Bethany (bfmmcdermott) | 30 comments Physical, but if I cant get that then I read the Ebook and later buy the physical edition for my bookshelf.. I'm a bibliophile :)

Srilekha (srileeka) | 12 comments I usually like to read the physical copy. The physical copy gives me more of the feeling that I'm actually reading a book. An Ebook doesn't do that.
There are times that I prefer Ebooks. I love reading books on Wattpad, so that would count as Ebooks.

Nicole (nics2) | 14 comments I am a big lover of physical books, but this year I got a kindle and I'm still getting some physical copies, but the e-books are way cheaper, kindle unlimited is simply amazing ! I have read about 10 books from there without paying ( my aunt has it and we share) so, my reading range this year is getting bigger and bigger bc of that, also it's easier to carry.
Anyway, whenever I can I get a physical copy.
Hey! Have you seen Bookoutlet ? It's really good and has great prices, I can't get it very often bc they don't deliver it here in my country, but I believe you will like it.

Physical I actually can never get into a story the same way in an e-book. :-( also I have a terrible computer. And paper is just so satisfying! (I do my best notes for school etc on paper as well)

Bob Rich | 26 comments I am an electronic reader (and writer). It's not real until it's in my computer, and I think on the keyboard. Besides, I can't read my own handwriting.
With a paper book, I need to wear reading glasses and have bright lighting. On a screen, I can zoom in until it's comfortable, and use backlighting. I can do searches for words and phrases.
Another good feature is the weight. Even back in 1994, I went from Australia to Europe (and later back again, by coincidence) with 40 books, and no excess luggage. They were all in my laptop.
But the most important is environmental. If paper were made from straw or sugarcane waste or bamboo or hemp, OK. But it's forests.

Bob Rich | 26 comments Libraries are great. Only, by the time I was 17, I'd read all the books in my school library (in desperation I even read Shakespeare, the Bible, and an Encyclopaedia!) and in the local council library. Of course, nowadays there are more books available, and there is interlibrary loan.
Most of my reading is because I review books. That means I get them for free, and I do a service to a fellow author.
:)

Gulsen (rose-garden) | 8 comments I'm grateful for the e-books...I mean I could not have read all those ya fiction books otherwise..and it's pretty easy to carry around.. but still, the physical book is something else. I don't really know how to explain this but when I hold one in my hands and start reading, it's like I can shut down the whole world..e-book doesn't have the same magic. (:

Cathy *Booklover4everandever* (booklover4everandever) | 1 comments I love my ebooks. I read alot so its cheaper for me to read ebooks. Plus kindle unlimited has been a dream come true for me. Dont get me wrong if I like physical books too and certain books I will buy in paperback...

message 14: by Irena (new)

Irena | 4 comments I loooove physical books, but I read a lot of e-books because of limited space and it's cheaper so when I really love a book after a reading I buy it :D

E-books all the way

message 16: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (ellie_dp) I don't know why I have to choose :) I like to read and the book is what matter to me. Will it be an e-book or a paper book, I don't mind at all as long it is interesting.
I have Kindle but I am reading and physical books too.

message 17: by Daly (new)

Daly Physical books! I like the feeling of actually owning a book, holding it in my hands, and seeing it on my shelf every night when I go to bed! Besides, Ebooks don't have that rich musty smell that physical books do.

message 18: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 6 comments Physical books all the way! Trade paper if possible. There's just something about the smell and feel of a real book.

message 19: by Bob (new)

Bob Rich | 26 comments I have a house full of physical books, but rarely pick them up because onscreen is so much easier.
