⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) What's So Great About...October? Monthly Challenge

description

Many thanks go out to PepperP0t for suggesting this challenge! Starting with June 2016, and ending in May of 2017, I will post a new thread monthly that tells you some of the major things to hype over for that specific month. There will be core tasks for the month, but there will also be some featured tasks as well.

How Tos:
★This is a mix and match challenge with no levels, so do as many or as few tasks as you like!
★Books must be read from October 1st to October 31st
★Re-reads are allowed, but all books must be at least 75 pages in length!
Books read can be used for only one task/letter!
★When using titles in the tasks, the words A, And, An, and The do not count.

Tasks
★Spell out "October" by reading books by authors who have a first or last name that corresponds to one of those letters.

★Spell out "October" by reading books with titles that have an ending word that matches a letter in that word. If your title is only one word, then feel free to use it for the specific letter! (Example: O=You're Still the One, C=Leah's Choice, T=It's In His Touch, O=Blowing It Off, B=The Last Buccaneer, E=Filthy English, R=Dare to Resist)

★Spell out "Faunch", the word of the month for October 2011 by reading books with titles or author names that matches a letter in that word. You can also check out the meaning of the word here, and read a book that shows an example of that word.

★Read books that have titles that have words that are all spelled with 7 letters, the same amount of letters that make up the word "October". (Examples: Illidan, Shooter, Fairest, Chilled, etc)

★October Birthstone: Opal or Tourmaline: Read a book with a black, white, blue, green, or red cover in any shade or a cover with a rainbow or rainbow of colors on it (Use your best judgement here!)

★October Flowers: Calendula (better known as the marigold) and cosmos: Read a book with a Calendula/Marigold or a cosmos on the cover. This task must be completed with flowers, not cocktail beverages! Here is an example of a Cosmos flower:
description.

★Foreman Trea's Letter of the Month: B: Read as many books as you can that have a title that starts with the letter of the month or the author's first or last name starts with the letter of the month.

Make sure that when you're doing the flowers portion that the flowers on the cover are marigolds or Cosmos!! It can't be just any old flower or the cocktail Cosmopolitan, as that won't count toward completion!

Do I have to do the flowers? Cause I was going to do the Cosmos cover instead.

Yes, the item must be a flower. The task reads as: "★October Flowers: Calendula (better known as the marigold) and cosmos". Here is an example of a Cosmos flower:
description.

This task was never about the cocktail beverage, only specific flowers. I've updated the tasks to make this more clear for others, so I appreciate you bringing the misunderstanding to my attention!
