Cool! I've been meaning to read this one for years, but have never gotten around to it. Now I have a reason to move it to the top of the list.
Ooooh, going old school again. I haven't checked in for a while, this is a good surprise ... Might get me reading something besides comics again!
wah! I'm going to miss this month. I don't want to buy the book and all the copies at the library are out. I see you all next month!!
Here's the middle discussion questions, with special thanks to Alyssa for helping me out!
1. Who do you think is the "natural leader" of the chowder society?
2. Do you think the events of the prologue were real or a dream?
3. What do you think is the significance of Sears' Fenny story since it's the only full story we've heard thus far/how do you think it relates to the events of the book? Do you think it was completely truthful?
4. Are you enjoying the book so far? Do you think it stands the test of time?
*Always feel free to share your own questions!

Peter Straub's classic bestseller is a work of "superb horror" (The Washington Post Book World) that, like any good ghost story, stands the test of time -- and conjures our darkest fears and nightmares.
