Jim (jimmaclachlan) | 4367 comments Donnerjack by Roger Zelazny & Jane Lindskold. It wasn't published until after his death & is a very strange trip between a haunted Scottish castle & virtual reality.

The Scribbling Man (thescribblingman) | 204 comments Donnerjack sounds bizarre, but interesting!

I'm nominating The Difference Engine by William Gibson again, seeming as it didn't get group read last time round and I didn't get around to reading it either...

Ronald (rpdwyer) | 175 comments I nominate Buddy Holly is Alive and Well on Ganymede

Wikipedia says:
Buddy Holly is Alive and Well on Ganymede is a 1991 comedic science fiction novel by Bradley Denton.[1][2][3] It won the 1992 John W. Campbell Memorial Award for Best Science Fiction Novel.

Ron says: It appears that Buddy Holly is Alive and Well on Ganymede is available for free by permission of the author:

Never read it, but it sure seems interesting.

Nicole Bock (nicolebock) | 3 comments I would like to nominate The World at the End of Time.

message 7: by Jo (new)

Jo | 1094 comments I'm gong to nominate Metropolitan by Walter Jon Williams

message 8: by Donna Rae (new)

Donna Rae Jones | 99 comments I thought this one looked interesting: The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell. It won a host of awards circa 1998 and, as it has both religious and extraterrestrial connections, might be a good sci-fi read circa Christmas time.
