“ I know he only has a couple of months. But Sage told you his secret.”
This is a quote from when Sage’s father confronted Logan in the garage. Her father made it seem like such a terrible thing that Sage was trans, and he didn’t seem to really understand. It’s really hard, not having people as involved in your life as your parents supporting you while transitioning. Sage’s father still refers to her as a boy, even after Sage has been passing for about five years. He even goes as far as to correct Logan when he uses feminine pronouns.

Page 122-123 was about how Logan started feeling bad about what he did to Sage and how he reacted when Sage told him that she was actually a guy.
I predict that he will keep her secret because he doesn't want anyone to know about Sage's secret and what happened between them. I'm also wondering if Logan will want to fix the tension and the bad feelings between the two of them and then walk away from it or if he will try to be friends with her again. I think maybe he might just say sorry and move on just so he isn't so guilty but I also think he still has some feelings for Sage and he's trying to get over them so he might want to be friends with her again. It's hard to be certain right now because their feelings and emotions are always changing but for now I think Logan has to think about what he really wants before he talks to Sage.

“There was no point in worrying about the next girl in my life right now. All I knew was that she would have a hard time measuring up to sage.” (357)
In this thought, Logan says that he’s not going to worry about his future romances. However, Chris was already introduced before this. Assuming the introduction of a love interest was meant to show Logan moving on, this would point him towards a new romance. However, in his last words, Logan expresses nothing to suggest that he’s ready for a new love interest yet. This may have shown a disconnect between what the writer planned and what he thought would make a more impressionable ending.

"Speaking of girls, over in the parking lot, a skinny chick was struggling to remove a packing crate from the back of a hatchback car" (355).
I felt like the author was in a rush to make an ending that would somehow work in this book. The ending that he wrote didn't really add up and wasn't necessary. I felt like they added Chris to just to compare her to Sage. They are complete opposites from the way they're described in the book from their appearance, to their personality, etc. Maybe Chris is only going to be a friend but this could end up like Sage all over again. They way that that this book was written I did not expect this to happen, it's a weird and questionable ending.
