What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I read this book in the early 90's. It wouldn't have been more than 5ish years old then.

The book opens with the Scottish girl running back to her home, where she lives with her mother, outside of the village.

The father is an English soldier who has fallen in love with each of the girls mothers. The girls all have his blue/grey eyes. They all end up meeting in the Scottish girls home at the end of the book, along with the father who returns to live with the Scottish girl and her mother.
