I'm disappointed at how the main story ends: Navidson's story is tied up too neatly, like a Hollywood movie. But I guess that's the point?

And I have no idea what is going on with Truant. I like, however, the letters from his mother (Appendix II.E); I'm currently in the middle of them. They are much more accessible than the poems earlier in the Appendices.

This was the second reading of the book for me- I first read it when it came out in 2000. I enjoyed it both times, but I did appreciate the extended Appendices in the Remastered Edition, and the inclusion of the letters from Truant's mother. I got a bit more out of the book the second time around- I guess it goes back on the shelf now, and maybe I'll reread it again in a few years.
