Just think, if you were kidnapped for 472 days and got out how would life be? For Flora Dane she made her life interesting, she went to self defense classes, she learned how to protect herself. Flora was very experienced, but one night, five years later, she was at a bar and very drunk. She was kidnapped once again by a man of the name Devon. She woke up in his garage the next morning and with the new skills Flora had she killed him.She did this because she thought he was going to attack her. She was then sent home to her apartment which was very secure. That night someone entered her apartment and kidnapped her. D.D. the woman on Floras case couldn’t figure out what happened because there was no sign of struggle and anyone who knew Flora knew she would put up a fight.
One of the things I loved about this book was the suspense each chapter held. In a book I always need to be on my toes to stay interested in the book. With Flora getting kidnapped three times it always kept me wondering what’s going to happen with her next? At the end of each chapter this book always lead you into the next and the flow of the book was well put together. Find Her is a book that you’re always left wondering and that's one of my favorite features.
Another thing I really liked about this book was knowing what life was like being kidnapped. I obviously don’t know what it’s like in a personal view, but I am able to understand Floras view. I never knew how hard it was for victims to tell their story and for Flora she was only able to tell one person. That person was Sam and she couldn’t even tell him every detail. I also learned that even though you would think someone would hate their kidnapper they might not. They form a type of relationship with them whether they would like to or not. I liked this feature because it really gives you a view on life and you can’t judge people when you don’t know their story.
Find Her was a great book and I really enjoyed it. I never wanted to put it down especially the last ten chapters of the book. This book made me realize the type of books that I enjoy and that will help in the future. Ultimately, this is a book about Flora getting kidnapped and how she makes her way out of each situation. I would recommend Find Her to anyone would likes a mystery or a fiction book.
