After the End RP discussion

A large room deep into the base, with several power generators.

Ares was inspecting the generators, making sure they were in good shape.

Neal happened to wander in here in his explorations of the base.

Ares looked up from the generator he was it, grease on his hands. "Oh hey Neal. How's it going?"

"Good." He nodded toward the generator. "Seems to be working."

He stood, taking a step back from it. "Yeah, I needed to fix a few things, but it's running smoothly now."

"Nice. So what's our status? Did you get many of your old people back on board?"

He shrugged. "Alberon is working on it. He can tell if people are lying, so I trusted him to do it."

He nodded thoughtfully.

"Have you seen much of the town yet?"

He shook his head. "I wandered around some, but hardly at all."

"You should explore better soon. Get to know the place well."

He nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah..."

He was quiet for a moment, then asked, "How far of a range does your power have, Neal?"

He thought about it, casting out his senses. It was hard to tell, since they were so isolated. "I can feel the presence of people maybe a couple of miles out? If I'm really focusing? I can't start to tell what exact powers until they're closer though, like at least within a mile."

He nodded, thinking about it. "Okay, thank you."

"Why do you ask?"

He gave a small smile, "Just wanting to know the full extent of it."

He nodded thoughtfully.

"I wonder if there's a way to amplify it," he said thoughtfully.

He pursed his lips. "I don't know. Aren't there people with powers that do that?"

Ares nodded, getting an excited glint in his eyes. "And you're the perfect person to find them."

His lips twitched. "You have a point there."

"Exactly. If we can amplify your power, no one with a power could hide from us."

"I should just go walk around town," he said, slightly amused at the idea.

"Mmm, actually, I need you here right now," he said, an amused look in his eyes.

((What would Ares do if he knew about the WTS twins? XD))

((He would want to get them to join, or at least work with them XD))

"What for?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.

"Well, there's a lot of dust everywhere. Webs, a little bit of mold. And this is a big place."

"How long does it go on for?" hr asked curiously. He'd just barely explored.

"I'm not completely sure myself yet. But it's got a lot going on."

He nodded thoughtfully. "So this is a new base for you." That explained why it was so dirty, at least.

Ares nodded, looking around a bit. "Yep, just started moving in today."

"Where were you before?"

"This old castle that's on the edge of town."

"Castle?" he inquired, raising his eyebrows.

He smiled. "Yeah, I don't know how it got there, but I am grateful for it."

"So why are we in the crappy old military base instead of the luxurious palace again?"

He gave a short laugh. "'Luxurious' is a bit too generous. It's pretty decrepit, and much too open."

"Bummer."

Ares gestured to the base around them. "This is much more practicle."

"Yeah, you're probably right."

He nodded. "I've been doing this for awhile."

"Well, to cleaning then!"

Ares laughed. "Enthusiasm. That's good."

He rolled his eyes. "I try."

"Go get everyone busy cleaning," he said, walking out of the room. "I have more stuff I need to do."

"Yeah. Will do." He headed out.
