In case anyone missed it - Sheri S. Tepper died on the 22 of Oct.

R.I.P. I have not read anything by her, but I know she's been mentioned in this group before.

Oh, sad. :( I'm actually reading one of her books right now -- Northshore. I've also read The Family Tree, Beauty, The Gate to Women's Country, and Sideshow (didn't like that one so much). So I guess you could say I'm a fan! I appreciate her for bringing another female voice to a genre so long crowded out with male voices. I have probably half a dozen more of her books on my shelf that I haven't read yet -- I always pick her up at used book sales.

I'm sorry to hear that she's no longer in the world. :(

No! I have loved her books for years upon years; Gibbon's Decline and Fall is a masterpiece, as is The Gate to Women's Country. I always got excited when I heard she had a new book coming out.

This just confirms my conviction that 2016 really, really, really, sucks :(
