Ok. I had a lot of time this morning, yay! And I ended up reading to ch13. I originally thought i would read to ch8 but I have to admit that this is a cliffhanger book and I wanted to know what was going on...lol. Where are you?
I'm up to ch6 and I'll read up to at least ch13 later today. I agree, it is action from the get-go and its hard to stop.
How did you stop at the end of ch12 with the last sentence of that chapter being what it was, lol! :)I've got to read the next!
I read the next chapter, and you'll ask how I stopped at the end of ch13 the way it ends, also, lol.
I made it up to ch20 this morning - and look forward to reading more later today. This has been really good so far, non-stop action! Have you ever read Dante's Inferno before? I almost bought it once, but didn't pull the trigger. (view spoiler)
Omg! We must be on the same wavelength because after reading ch18 ( I didn't get that far last nite) I decided to buy Dante's Inferno signet classic version right now...lol. Like you, I've always wanted to read it but was afraid of not understanding it. I made the plunge today, so thank you for asking me to read this book because it's really peaked my interest. You shud buy it too!

I'll track down a copy of it also. We said we wanted to read a classic!
Lol...you got me there! I really want to have a book with some illustrations. I googled some of them, but a book to use as a companion for Inferno would be nice. Maybe we cud squeeze in dantes inferno after we finish this book:)
I agree about something with illustrations. When I thought about buying it before, it was a copy I saw at Barnes and Noble that I think had some illustrations in it. I looked a little bit, but I don't see it on their website now. I do remember it being quite expensive, so that may not be the route I'd take. And we sure can try to tackle it next. I did get my copy of Hunter of the Dead in the mail yesterday, too.
Awesome! Yeah, mine was 4 bucks on Amazon. I just wanted one that would be easily translated. I don't think it has illustrations.
I was thinking about Sienna and wondering who she really is and whether it's really coincidence that she saved Langdon. Any ideas?
It seems like it's a coincidence she saved him, but I'm thinking that there is definitely something more to her background that ties her to this story. She's taking all of this sudden adventure pretty well.
Sounds good.I'm trying to decide which version on The Inferno to order. You ordered The Signet version, right? I can't decide if I should get the same, or another that might have a different set of notes with it..
I was thinking about that. It's up to you of course but it might be neat to have a different translation.
I was leaning that way too. I'm looking at the Penguin version. It's gotten pretty good ratings. Either that, or a combined version with all three books of the comedy. I can't decide!
Wow. Ok. I just got my new phone in working order but I'm pretty tired. I'll try and catch up tomorrow. I'm off and shud have plenty of time.
Ch35 ok,I had to google The Labors of Hercules and oh my goodness! I think that would make anybody uncomfortable...lol
I stopped at ch40 as I'm starting to fall asleep, though it's starting to get more interesting by the minute!
Ok. Made it to ch46. This book is so cool! I wonder if they were able to film in these actual locations and film the actual secret corridors and compartments. Now, i can't wait to see the film. From the preview it looks similar to the book except for the beginning. Who would of thought sienna and Langdon could escape from the palace!? But it looks promising!
I'm hoping they did film in these neat locations. It sounds so cool and I doubt I'll ever see them in person. I've purposely avoided watching the previews in hopes of not spoiling anything. I always try to avoid a preview for a movie I'm going to see (my family thinks I'm crazy when I have my fingers in my ears and my eyes shut when they come on). They put so much stuff in the previews now that it can ruin it sometimes :-)
Oh gosh, I'm sorry! Hope I didn't ruin anything for you. I don't have that kind of willpower...lol. Plus I had viewed it before deciding to read it.
No, you didn't ruin anything! I didn't mean that. Besides, it's impossible not to catch some things no matter what. I just can't believe they put so much into previews now instead of leaving it more vague or mysterious.
