As I saw another topic I was wondering what psychology books would any of you recommend for someone that is just starting to be interested unprofessionally in psychology. What books would you recommend?

Amy Burk (amykaufmanburk) My second novel, Tightwire, follows a rookie psych intern through one year of training as she works with her first patient -- a seductive, stormy, complex, troubled young man. I wrote the book as a window into the therapeutic process, from the perspectives of both the patient and the therapist. I also wrote the novel as a voice against the stigma of psychotherapy. I was a therapist for 25 years before becoming an author, so while this story is fiction, the portrayal of how a talking therapy works is realistic. Would love for you to check it out!

Is Walden Two easy reading? It is on my TBR list. For people looking for mental health related books rather than factual books try Go Ask Alice, Checkers, Prozac Nation, or The Anorexic Experience. Some are fictional but give insight into living with different conditions.
