Susan (secofnola) I'm pretty open, but leaning toward Wolf by Wolf.

The Winner's Curse just squeaked by Wolf by Wolf, but it's still definitely worth reading! Some good discussion points to The Winner's Curse so can't wait for everyone to get started.

Kathleen Of the 3 books we could choose from, this is the only one my 16 year old granddaughter had read, and she assures me that I will like it.

Kathleen Did you notice that the third book in this trilogy, The Winner's Kiss, is one of the choices for the Goodread's YA fantasy award? We read the first book in three other series which have a later book running for this award.

Also, two other books we read are on the semi-final list for best YA book. I voted for Salt to the Sea, which was a 5 star read for me. I wish this group could select from more books that might end up on these award lists and the Printz list. Although, I liked reading A Monster Calls, which was an older book.

Kathleen I've almost finished listening to this book. So far, these are the words I think of as descriptors which relate to it:

Slavery
Betrayal
Romance
Conquerors
Intrigue
Music
Friendship
