I won't go into a description of the plot. It is quite a lengthy book, and if you don't want to read it, the 2005 BBC TV series is a fantastic companion to the book. I feel this is my favorite of what I have read of Dickens. I have never found him to be an easy read, and what he rights about is never very bright and cheery. But like this book and his others, it gives you a look into Victorian England and the lives of both the poor and the rich. The clash between the two is often very telling and heartbreaking at the same time.
