Lexi I haven't read an Epic Firist5 in a few weeks because the last few have been books I have no interest in. However, when I saw on twitter yesterday that this week's Epic First5 was going to be A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU by Claudia Gray, I was super excited because I've wanted to read this book for a while but I've never gotten around to actually buying it so I look forward to the chapters being released this week. This way, I can officially formulate an opinion on the book and then go out to buy it. What did you guys think? In my opinion it was fabulous, I was definitely intrigued after the first few sentences which is a good thing for sure.

Nicole Manville (manviln) | 4 comments Alexandria, thanks for sharing! This somewhat puts it in perspective for me. This is at least the 3rd time since I have subscribed to First 5 that they have featured the first book in a series that is preparing for the second or third book release. Being that I have read the first books in the series, I have been annoyed by this. I wish they would feature NEW books every week. But I understand that they are also trying to gain interest in the series as a whole for readers who may not have jumped on the books at the beginning.

Mona (readingfrk) | 12 comments I've tried to read this book several times, but sadly, the multiple dimensions aspect doesn't appeal to me at all.

Lexi I just finished reading the third chapter, and I'm left even more in love with the book then I was after the very first chapter. I didn't even know this was possible. The characters are very strong and I'm finding that I'm becoming rather attached to them. I never knew that I would say this but, this is basically as good as Harry Potter. In my opinion, they're equals as far as the book world goes. That's a big deal for me to say that because trust me when I say this but, I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. They are in no way related plot wise or concept wise but I loved them equally which is amazing because I've only read the first three chapters of this book and I've read all eight books in the HP series.
Anyways, I really love the whole multiverse idea. It just fascinates me to think that they're could be multiple dimensions. I know that they most likely don't exist in the real world so that's why I like to read about them in the literary world. It just makes me wonder; what would my life be like in another dimension?

Lexi Now that all 5 chapters have been released, what are your final thoughts. I've read the first four and even though I love this book dearly I will not be reading the fifth chapter that was sent out as I would like to save some for one I actually buy the book.

Mona (readingfrk) | 12 comments I'm going to pass. Not enough substance to entice me to buy it.

Meagan | 6 comments I love this book! I've read the first one and hopefully (after I finish the series I'm reading now) I can finish reading the other two. There aren't very many time travel or parallel dimension YA books... so I think that A Thousand Pieces of You is good, and it's needed. The writing is beautiful and the characters are likeable, plus the story is relatively believable. Far too often we see over the top or far fetched books like this and Claudia Gray did an amazing job of balancing it all. It's one of my favorite YA series (NOT TO MENTION THE COVER ART IS SPECTACULAR)!!!
