I just started reading The Father. At over 500 pages, I expect to be reading it for a while. It is a crime novel based on the true story of three brothers and their friend who committed a number of robberies in the 1990s in Sweden. One of the authors is the other sibling of the three, who was in no way involved. That unique perspective drew me in, and it is proving to be a great book thus far.

A Halloween leftover: Witches of America, about Wiccans and their beliefs. Though so far it sounds more like the author's exploration of different religious practices...
I read and LOVED Jodi Picoult's Small Great Things. I was drawn in immediately to the story and it was hard to put down. Jodi never disappoints.
I am reading The Story of a New Name by Elena Ferrante, the second book of four in the Neapolitan Series. If you love reading books with Italy as the setting, then you might enjoy this.
