If I can join in, I would love to! I have participated in a couple of discussions in the last month!
IDK have I been active enough for this, been quite busy. I would at least like to participate if I can, I'm not doing any other SS this year. :)
I would like to be in the Secret Santa but I'm not sure if I qualify this Year. I have really enjoyed it in the past :-)
I will set up a specific shelf as my current ones are all over the place with things I've read and want to buy and things I haven't read but want to buy.
I'll be fixing up my shelf called to buy but don't own. Today but don't mind other recs matching things I already like.
Alight have updated "to-read-not-owned " changed the order around, added some books. I hope that helps Happy Book buying.
I have a shelf called tbr-not-owned. All the others are all over the place! Really need to sort them all out!
I also have a shelf that is called tbr do not own. I checked it and it is current and I will not buy anything new until after Christmas.
Argh Emma I meant to do this by last night. Is there anyway I can be added in? I was super excited to actually be able to do this this year, as in the past I've run the whole thing.
I've checked my list and the one to use 'Books I want to read but don' t own'. If my Secret Santa would like to buy a book for me they think I would like they can also check the books I own list. Thank You.
I've added a wishlist titled "secret santa 2016" for my elf's convenience. Thanks again for organising.
Can I ask a question regarding posting of Secret Santa parcels please? Normally when I am posting a parcel, I put a return address or sender's name on the outside (as An Post ask you to). But this would mean that the receiver would know who the parcel was from. How have people dealt with this in past years? Do you just not include a return address/sender's name? Thanks for your help.
I usually order from Kenneys or Book Depository so they don't send that info. I do address it to Secret Santa Susan Johnson or something like that so they know it's a Secret Santa gift and not open it early.
Thanks for that, Emma and Susan. You are right, Emma, An Post don't insist on a sender name or address but they recommend it. I just wasn't sure what the procedure was because this is my first time participating in Secret Santa and I didn't want to mess up!
Had a parcel arrive today from Kenny's and since I had nothing ordered, I can assume it's my SS. Thanks in advance, it's tucked away in the wardrobe awaiting the tree! :)
I also got a Secret Santa gift in the mail from someone...I have put in aside for opening...probably on December 22nd...which is not strictly in keeping with tradition, but I'll be traveling and don't want to take up baggage space.
A Secret Santa parcel arrived for me today! I have had a couple of tough days in work and the parcel made me smile. Thanks to whoever sent it - you have made my week! Now I can't wait until Christmas Eve to open it!!
I received two Secret Santa packages today so I am a happy camper. There's something exciting about getting something from the Royal Mail. It sounds so high class.
Trelawn wrote: "I received a second parcel today. thanks again. Now the countdown is on until I can open them."That is the killer with them coming this soon, I am glad in one way mine has yet to arrive as that is less time of a wait XD
I got a parcel in the post today from my secret Santa, thank you so much whoever it is. I did try to study the postmark but it gave nothing away.
Received two books from TBD last week, stored away in the wardrobe awaiting Christmas Day! Thanks SS!
It would be great if all participants posted whether they got their presents. I am on tether hooks as the person I have has not posted so I do not know if they received it yes. Please take a minute and put me out of misery. Thanks.
Are we opening our Secret Santa presents on Christmas Eve? I don't think I can wait much longer! The parcel keeps calling to me from under the tree "Open me, open me. They'll never know..." My daughters are being the guardians and giving me the evil eye anytime I go near it...
