Most Disney movies are based on Fairy Tales, so this month's challenge is to read a book based on a fairy tale or a retelling of the stories we know and love.

Heartless comes out next week, and I've already pre-ordered it. It should be perfect for this challenge!

I read The Siren for this challenge (thinking it was modern retelling of The Little Mermaid). I thought The Selection series -though not my favorite- was at least entertaining, this book by the same author just didn't have the same charm. But it was a quick read and I could see hints of Ariel (I may have been projecting). I'm hoping to read Waking the Merrow (about mermaids) but I probably won't have time this month.

I just started Vassa in the Night, it's a retelling of a Russian fairytale. I'm only a few chapters in and though it's kind of dark it's good so far.

I am reading Princess of the Silver woods for this one
